And an enormous salute to all of this year’s nominees each of whom have made incredible contributions to the Image, Entertainment or Distinction in our community Thank you to those who nominated me and supported my nomination. - And, of course, thank you to my partner Raul Arango and my extended family and friends for always supporting me and being here this evening but most to all thank you GOD for giving me this unique and unforgettable experience in my life.

July 12th 2015 New Rochelle, New York, was in attendance at the Image Entertainment Distinction Awards 2015 (IED) where honorees were awarded and most importantly, recognized for their contributions to fashion, entertainment, and to humanity. In its’ third year the IEDs continues to garner more and more support and recognition from many in the industry. The IED’s founder, Diva Madonna Williams, is also a celebrity blogger and founder of GlamSenseDivas, and is well respected and admired by many in the fashion and entertainment industry.
Madonna WilliamsAt tonight’s award show, attendees were treated to a red carpet event where various press and media personnel and many of the guest took photos of the lovely Madonna Williams along with honorees, performers, sponsors, host, and hostess. Tonight’s host and hostess was TV. Film Producer and Professor of Medicine Howard Smith and Executive College Radio Producer and BET Correspondent Ivy Rivera. Presenters were Gospel Music Artist Terrell “T-Rex” Simon and VH1’s Love & Hip Hop New York reality star Chrissy Monroe. Entrigue spoke with some guest to get their thoughts on the awards show and entertainment and the sentiment was all the same. Everyone had a great time and the feel was more than just an awards show, it was a feeling of celebration. E.C. Salsero had attendees amazed with his vocal performance and he even serenaded IED’s Diva Madonna while they danced down the runway. Other performers included R&B music artist Sherma Andrews, dancer/model and “Rising Stars Award” winner, Abby M. Santiago, child dancer/actor and “Rising Stars Award” winner Douglas Baldeo. Santiago’s performance was a tribute to actress and
“Lifetime Achievement Award” winner Janet Hubert
who was unable to attend but Hubert sent a video thanking fans and supporters and the IEDs for their recognition, support, and award. Balbeo’s performance paid tribute to Business
Woman/Philanthropist, and “Humanitarian Award” winner Dr. Deborah Williams. Stylist and “Image Award” winner Ty Hunter,
Celebrity Chef, and “Lifetime Achievement Hospitality Award” winner Chef Carlos La Cruz,
actor, and “Media Award” winner Marc John Jefferies. Actor/model,
“Model of the Year Award” winner Prakash Patil gave us touching words with a heartfelt acceptance speech.
The “Musical Director Award” went to Janelle Abraham. The “Media Award” went to Publicist Bridget O’Brien. The final honorees were:

Dale Getfield, Entrepreneur/Philanthropist “Humanitarian Award” winner.
Steve Cas, Artist “Humanitarian Award” winner.
Chaka Bomani, Entrepreneur/Owner of Suede Restaurant “Hospitality Award” winner.
Lorraine Campbell, Promoter “Promoter Award” winner.
Entrigue Magazine looks forward to next year’s Image Entertainment Distinction Awards (IED) ceremony.

Había un señor muy aprensivo respecto de sus propias enfermedades y sobre todo, muy temeroso del día en que le llegara la muerte.
Un día, entre tantas ideas locas, se le ocurrió que quizás él ya estaba muerto. Entonces le preguntó a su mujer:
—Dime mujer, ¿no estaré muerto yo?
La mujer rió y le dijo que se tocara las manos y los pies.
—Ves, ¡están tibios! Bien, eso quiere decir que estás vivo. Si estuvieras muerto, tus manos y tus pies estarían helados.
Al hombre le sonó muy razonable la respuesta y se tranquilizó. Pocas semanas después, el hombre salió bajo la nieve a hachar algunos árboles. Cuando llegó al bosque se sacó los
guantes y comenzó a hachar.
Sin pensarlo, se pasó la mano por la frente y notó que sus manos estaban frías. Acordándose de lo que le había dicho su esposa, se quitó los zapatos y las medias y confirmó con
horror que sus pies también estaban helados.
En ese momento ya no le quedó ninguna duda, se “dio cuenta” de que estaba muerto.
—No es bueno que un muerto ande por ahí hachando árboles –se dijo. Así que dejó el hacha al lado de su mula y se tendió quieto en el piso helado, las manos en cruz sobre el pecho y los ojos cerrados.
A poco de estar tirado en el piso, una jauría comenzó a acercarse a las alforjas donde estaban las provisiones. Al ver que nada los paraba, destrozaron las alforjas y devoraron todo lo que había de comestible. El hombre pensó:
—Suerte que tienen que estoy muerto que si no, yo mismo los echaba a patadas.
La jauría siguió husmeando y descubrió el burro atado a un árbol. Fácil presa era de los filosos dientes de los perros. El burro chilló y coceó pero el hombre sólo pensó qué lindo sería
defenderlo, si no fuera porque él estaba muerto. En algunos minutos dieron cuenta del burro, sólo unos
pocos perros seguían royendo algún hueso. La jauría, insaciable, siguió rondando el lugar.
No pasó mucho tiempo hasta que uno de los perros olió el olor del hombre. Miró a su alrededor y vio al hachero tirado inmóvil en el piso. Se acercó lentamente (muy lentamente, porque el hombre era muy peligroso y engañador). En pocos instantes, todos los perros babeando sus fauces
rodearon al hombre.
—Ahora me van a comer –pensó—. Si no estuviera muerto, otra sería la historia.
Los perros se acercaron...
...y viendo su inacción se lo comieron

Our journey began last year, when we first conceived the notion of creating this perfect gathering. As we all know, there's always ups and downs in this journey, and even though the result may not have been perfect - we made sure it was as close to perfect as we could make it. The smiles on the dance floor and the energy flowing through nature was all it took for us to take it upon ourselves and create this sequel. Come join us as we embark on yet another journey!

I call this one, 'Give Peace A Chance'. These roses are 'Peace' roses, and they surround the flag pole at Madingley American Cemetery. Seeing 'Old Glory' at half mast with the yellow blooms of the Peace roses seemed very poignant, I'm no pacifist, but we must always look for an alternative to war and all its consequences.
Normandy is ABMC's most visited cemetery, receiving approximately one million visitors each year.

warning: resorting to therapeutic poetry - could get messy! The first 2 lines of each thingy rhyme with each other, and the final line of each thingy all rhyme.
Hurtful words carefully composed;
An orchastrated argument that grows and grows;
I'm sorry - I just accept that blow.
I know you were aiming to get a reaction;
You know that you will never catch one;
I'm sorry - I just dont sink that low.
Youre hurting, youre boken , your aiming to break me;
I'm hurting, I'm broken, my soul - you take me;
I'm sorry - I let you abuse me, you know.
You push and destroy me until i fray;
I seek respect, I'm sorry I can't stay.
I'm sorry - "Are you?" actually... NO!
NB: to clarify, this poem is not about physical abuse but rather verbal and emotional, though why this is less abhorrent than physical abuse to some people I will never understand.

People stopping to enjoy the high-flying antics of the Siamang apes near Kali River Rapids probably miss this sign along the fence. When the main attraction is 25 feet in the air, that's understandable.
