Since being locked down for health reasons I'm restricted to taking photos in my garden. Not much to click away at really but this big glob of resin on an apricot tree my wife planted caught my eye. It looks a bit like a snail shell, the colours, fuzzy reflections and areas where the sun catches it are very nice I think.
This is the last urethane eyes pair I made, and I am happy because they are not so bad I think ^_^
It took lots of efforts and tries to get this result. But now I can make eyes for my dolls and I am glad of it !

This is a watercolour on paper an glued to a birch board with resin applied. Measures 5" x 5". Love what resin seems to do to watercolours! SOLD
OK, maybe you think this is an accident but actually it's not! During this stage, I let the resin overspill on purpose, because it's going to shrink. I may even have to add a bit more later. This is normal for polyester resin.
Resin residues are easy to clean later during sanding. In fact, most of it comes away on its own, without much effort.
The colors are not accurate in this picture but they turned out much better than the samples.

Came across this tree in the same area of spinifex as the recent shots.
It looked quite extravagant and wasteful (and beautiful) in the arid surrounds. No doubt some sort of defence mechanism. The tree looked quite healthy.
I thought at first it might be a leopardwood tree because of the motley bark but the markings just don't seem distinct enough. If anyone has any idea of tree species please jump in!
Sculpture (résine) de Richard ORLINSKI à l'entrée du domaine de Chamarande, Essonne. Un artiste connu pour ses sculptures en résine colorée : qui n'a jamais vu son gorille ou son bouledogue ?
When the surface of dripping resin dries, pressure continues to build causing these odd sticky extrusions.
Second preview of Aurelia in different resin colors ^^
