We tend to celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied ad multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

Requests for Prayers at the Cardboard Cathedral.
Notice the table and wall are made out of thick cardboard
As requested by pretty much everyone, here are more photos of my LAAT. For anyone new, it's in perfect minifigure scale, has over 3,000 pieces, and took around four months in total to design and build. Before anyone asks, yes, there are no visible rockets on top. I tried it, but they looked messy on the smooth, vast white panels. They just looked out of place. I beleive by the time ep.3 rolled around, the LAAT's had closed up tops anyway, and mine is already a hybrid between ep.2 & 3 Gunships so it works out in the end :D
I hope it you guys like it, and that it was worth the wait!
Cheers :)
While out in St. Peter’s Square with my Tuesdays partner in crime, this young lady stepped out in front of me as I was about to take a photograph. At first I thought she was telling me not to take her picture to which I replied “I’m not, and I haven’t taken any”; she was actually saying “I’ll give you a £1 if you take my picture”. This request completely threw me but I did as she asked, (no money changed hands in case you were wondering). After taking the picture she looked at the image on the back of my camera and said “Let my mother know that I am ok”; then she left just as quickly as she had arrived. This took no more than 30 seconds. As I don’t know this young lady or her mother I decided to post the image and request just in case someone out there does recognise her and her mum and maybe, just maybe they could pass on her message.
Please don’t fave this image as that is not what this post is about.
Thank you.
PS, If anyone does know this young lady could you please leave a comment to let me know.....!
As requested by jude depp.
The build should actually be longer, in order to represent the wreck more accurately. However, I was running low on parts and wanted to finish the build so I cut it a bit short.

The PL 17 replaced the Dyna Z and was presented on June 29, 1959. For model year 1961 a cabriolet was added followed by an estate version in April 1963.
Late 1963 the PL 17 range underwent a minor facelift for the 1964 model year (Note the chrome ornament strip between the head lamps has disappeared, and the indicator lamps were changed).
Responsible for the avant garde design of the PL 17 and his predecessor Dyna Z was Louis Bionier (1898-1973) in cooperation with André Jouan.
In 1965 Citroën became full owner of Panhard. In the same year production of the PL 17 has ceased.
I found this PL 17 Cabrio during a holiday trip to the south of France.
The yellow car in the back was my car at that time. It was a 1982 Ford Escort Van 1300 which I had converted into a compact mobile home.

After taking baby Jinthe's pictures, her mum asked me if I could turn the shoes in that one b&w pregnancy shot pink. It is not what I like (at all) but if someone hires me (twice), I will try. At first, I thought I'd need photoshop for it but Big Human went online and found me a tutorial that showed me how to do it with adjustment brushes in Lightroom.
So, I learned something new, and mum was very happy with the picture.
The Hassan II Mosque is a mosque in Casablanca, Morocco. It is the second largest functioning mosque in Africa and is the 7th largest in the world. Its minaret is the world's second tallest minaret at 210 metres. Completed in 1993, it was designed by Michel Pinseau under the guidance of King Hassan II and built by Moroccan artisans from all over the kingdom. The minaret is 60 stories high topped by a laser, the light from which is directed towards Mecca. The mosque stands on a promontory looking out to the Atlantic Ocean; worshippers can pray over the sea but there is no glass floor looking into the sea. The walls are of hand-crafted marble and the roof is retractable. A maximum of 105,000 worshippers can gather together for prayer: 25,000 inside the mosque hall and another 80,000 on the mosque's outside ground.
The mosque is located at Bd Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah in Casablanca. The 9-hectare complex nestles between the harbor and the El Hank lighthouse. From the nearest train station at Casa-Port it is about a 20-minute walk to the mosque. The ten-lane boulevard with shopping avenues has its at the southern facade of the mosque and extends to the gates of the Palace Oued el Makhazine in the middle of the city. The basilical plan of the mosque justifies this layout of the boulevard.
The mosque rises above the Atlantic Ocean. The building is built partially on land and partially over the ocean. This siting was accomplished by creating a platform linking a natural rock outcrop reclaimed from the sea, where the Orthlieb Pool had previously been located. Two large breakwaters were also built, to protect the mosque from the erosive action of the ocean waves, which can be up to 10 metres in height. A temporary pier 800 metres in length had to be erected to protect the foundations of the pillars from the sea during the construction period. Its environmental advantage is that it is free of noise and pollution and receives a fresh breeze from the sea.
Apart from the mosque, other structures in the area are a madrasa (Islamic school), hammams (bathhouses), a museum on Moroccan history, conference halls, and a very large library said to be the "most comprehensive in the Islamic world." The 41 fountains in the courtyard are all well decorated. The garden around the mosque is well tended and is a popular location for family picnics. The traditionally designed madrasa occupies an area of 4,840 square metres including the basement. Two stories in height, it is constructed in a semi-circular shape, with abutting qibla wall and the mihrab section.
The historical context of the mosque began with the death of King Mohammed V in 1961. King Hassan II had requested for the best of the country's artisans to come forward and submit plans for a mausoleum to honour the departed king; it should "reflect the fervor and veneration with which this illustrious man was regarded." In 1980, during his birthday celebrations, Hassan II had made his ambitions very clear for creating a single landmark monument in Casablanca by stating
I wish Casablanca to be endowed with a large, fine building of which it can be proud until the end of time ... I want to build this mosque on the water, because God's throne is on the water. Therefore, the faithful who go there to pray, to praise the creator on firm soil, can contemplate God's sky and ocean.
The building was commissioned by King Hassan II to be the most ambitious structure ever built in Morocco. It was designed by the French architect Michel Pinseau who had lived in Morocco, and was constructed by the civil engineering group Bouygues.
Work commenced on July 12, 1986, and was conducted over a seven-year period. Construction was scheduled to be completed in 1989 ready for Hassan II's 60th birthday. During the most intense period of construction, 1400 men worked during the day and another 1100 during the night. 10,000 artists and craftsmen participated in building and beautifying the mosque. However, the building was not completed on schedule which delayed inauguration. The formal inauguration was subsequently chosen to be the 11th Rabi' al-Awwal of the year 1414 of the Hijra, corresponding to 30 August 1993, which also marked the eve of the anniversary of Prophet Muhammad’s birth. It was dedicated to the Sovereign of Morocco.
so I was thinking....
I try to post new things and to keep things changing but would anyone like to request something from an older set, I undoubtedly have a few unposted ones.
With a dedication for you of course, just leave something in the comments x

The 2nd bunch of exotic/erotic project from DMZ (DezyningMindz) group (a graphic art group) I joined at Yahoo, the request of this project aims to create a graphic or as many as I like, which has an Exotic/Erotic feel to it. Making the feeling come forth, making it speak without showing all... almost like a tease. Create ART Not Porn. So here are my creation. Tell me how you think about them.

For the last few years Bee Orchids have been appearing on the common ground opposite our house, only to be mown down by the Council grass cutters despite requests for them not to mow this area. So earlier this year my neighbour dug up some and put them in her front garden for safe keeping - they are now just beginning to come into flower.

Originally consecrated on September 10, 1751, it occupied the eastern block of the Grand palace, crowned, at the request of Elizabeth Petrovna, with five gilded domes, "as per our faith". This originally was the Palace Church. Today it functions as the Royal Church Museum.
