Grandpops Woodlice, also known as Philip Male, wrote that he would prefer to see one yellow bead. (See his comments on the previous macro, if curious.) I'm not certain if that meant one yellow bead without the tiny 18mm glass container or cork top. Perhaps he is quite a minimalist, although perhaps not. That is a large bear he posted today.

COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2 is attacking all over the world. Japan is no exception, and everyday is becoming more difficult. As a photographer, I also thought about life and postponed the exhibition according to the government's request. The Japanese government does not support artists. So I decided to hold an online photo exhibition. This is free to watch.
The photo exhibition should be in the dark in the room at night, preferably with the playlist. Look at the brightness of mobile terminals at 1/3.

The comfort that Anthony got from fussing Lucy was clear (even if he did get covered in hairs) and Lucy's smile says it all.
The Confidential ~ Man In A Room
One of the requests I get from time to time is to make a triptych of house numbers I have found on my many urban walks. They are usually a combo of numbers to celebrate a special date like a wedding. Initially, I thought it would be easy to make a portfolio of numbers because I only needed to go up to 31. The triptych for today would read 26 3 22. However, once I began paying attention to house numbers, I realized there were very few house/building numbers under 100! Charlottetown, PEI still has several homes in their downtown core with the low house numbers and their numbers often have that Maritime charisma. Then there is the old city of Quebec that has several house numbers with 1/2. I posted this one for the theme “Numbers” to make you Smile on Saturday!
Long time contacts on Flickr have repeatedly asked to see a photo of our place on Keefer Lake - turning the camera around as it were given they have seen so many of my photos facing the other way. Here is the front yard of our 'Ithaka' as we have called our 'Quinta.' If you know Homer's 'The Odyssey' you will understand the name. That's our little boathouse on the lower right (change room below and small guest room above) with our A-frame home hidden by the white pines in the background.

By request. They dress the kids up in the mutton busting event like bull riders with helmets and vests now so I pulled this one out of the archives. A ewe jumped over me once in the arena while I was bent down taking pictures so I can attest to their capabilities. Didn't realize I would become the subject of a crowd roaring with laughter that day. The announcer stills brings it up to this day. It has been raining steady today, I hope it moves towards Nova Scotia and New Brunswick where the wildfires are. Canon 40D

This guy has been hanging around and he seems like a bit of an outcast as he is often alone and doesn't really have a mob to call his own.
He has let me get close to him to take photos even though I don't want to get too close just in case he decides he doesn't want to be friends.
Anyway the other day he did deiced to take back my friend request and as I went to take a photo he came at me.
I basically shit myself and ran back into the safety of the cat yard. I can take a hint.

As you know the "Golden" gate bridge is not literally golden or is golden in color ... which made me think about this concept !
I thought doing a very long exposure and catching the particularly yellow/white reflections of passing cars' headlights might fix that problem ! So I headed to the vista point at night and after a few tries with different durations and white balances I managed to get the Golden Gate to look Golden, as it should have in the first place (!).
It was a particularly cold night and I couldn't feel my hands after this, so I really hope you enjoy this one !

My favourite photo from a long ago work related trip to picturesque Chamba valley in Himachal Pradesh. Taken with my old Sony.I have probably posted this one earlier also but I wanted to share it with all those friends who have joined me in the last few years.
Chamba is a district in the north-western corner of the state of Himachal Pradesh bordering Jammu & Kashmir.Chamba valley is an extremely picturesque valley and the River Ravi ,one of the five rivers of the Punjab, runs through it.The ancient town of Chamba is the capital of this district.It is situated on the banks of the River Ravi at a height of 3268 ft. above sea level.The area was formally ruled by the Maru dynasty from around 500 A.D.The ancient capital of Chamba was Bharmour at a distance of about 75 kms.from Chamba.In A.D 920 Raja Sahil Varman shifted the capital to Chamba at the request of his daughter Champawati.The town is named after her.From this time 67 rajas ruled over Chamba till its union with the Indian union in 1948.It was under British suzerainty from 1846 till independence.
Chamba is famous for its beautiful temples, palaces as well as its art and crafts.
Although Chamba is a little isolated and difficult to reach I think it is one of the most beautiful valleys of Himachal Pradesh and really worth a visit.

Alfred was one of the most popular men in town. The best stone mason had to work even on Sunday to finish everything on time. Orders were coming from everywhere - the king himself wanted an oversized bust. There was a request even from a land across the sea - a dragon statue. The most interesting job though was from a guy who said he saw his unborn son in a dream. According to the guy, his son's statue would turn to a live boy. He gave Alfred a detailed sketch and asked him to finish the job as soon as possible. The stone mason was baffled, but part of him was really intrigued, because of something he saw in the man's eyes. So Alfred spent almost all of his time working on that statue, leaving on a side all of his other projects. Now he was waiting for the guy...and for that miracle too.

On request of Nitro, his friend and former RL neighbour Tutsy agreed to exhibit at Nitroglobus and made the works for Série Noire.
Série noire is a French publishing imprint founded in 1945 by Marcel Duhamel. It has released a collection of crime fiction of the hardboiled detective thrillers variety.
The name became a generic term for works of detective, and is considered having inspired the French critic Nino Frank to create in 1946 the phrase Film Noir, which describes Hollywood crime dramas.
Typical elements are: corrupt police, sympathetic detectives, anxiety, violence, bestial love and inordinate passion. All sentiments which in a civilized society, are supposed to have courses quite exceptionally. But always expressed in an compact academic language which still dominates, in pink or black, humor.

Another shot from Cathedral Cavern in the Lake District. This time facing the giant rock pillar that stands in the middle of the cavern.
I was looking for someone to add a sense of scale and it wasn't quiet enough to do a selfie as there was still a lot of people coming in and out of the cavern. But this girl who had been looking up at the cavern's natural made window made a perfect subject, While her family had decided to exit the cavern she stayed back for just a while longer to admire the view. Two seconds later the place was full of people as another two families came through the entrance.
This place really is huge and well worth visiting if you're ever in the area. It is a busy place in the middle of the day so I suggest an early morning visit if you want the cavern all to yourself.

Shamelessly requesting for items and blogger group invites. For the longest time, I had been (until yesterday) a roof squatter because I only needed a studio to shoot, but recently, we did up the whole sim and I realised I have nothing to decorate with! Out of all the rooms, I only have those that fit the style for this whole shoot #FML. I promise pretty pictures =)
