As requested by Alex "Orion Pax" , pictures of my two revised GMC Sierra pickup trucks from the 80's TV show "The Fallguy".

Both MOCs were sittin' on my shelf for a few years now and collecting dust., because I wasn't satisfied with some details, so I never took pictures until now.

Some of you may remember my first 6-wide version:

www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=362971

This old version in the link was part of a dispute between me and Alex.

He was thinking I stole some of the ideas of his GMC Fallguy MOC:

www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3668277

While I wasn't even aware of his works at that point in time.

However, we were able to bury our dispute peacefully and today I'm happy to had become aware of his highly inspiring works due to that fact.

As you can see, the smaller version of my revised MOCs "borrows" even more ideas from his old GMC truck.

Hope he doesn't mind today...;)

Oh, and if you wonder what piece the antenna on the small truck is: It is a whisker from my cat - non LEGO at all...;)

Don't miss "Orion Pax" newest Fall Guy GMC in awesome dark brown and dark tan!

To all my fans! By popular request! The exalted goddess is a famous model with a major agency! She was tall, thin, fit, defined, and toned! Pretty, piercing blue eyes set against wavy brown hair! And she was a lot of fun--lots of stories and laughs during and after the shoot! Wish you'd been there!

Here're a couple of videos I shot while shooting stills, with the awesome NEX-6 and a 50 mm Prime f/1.8 lens for the rich/creamy video bokeh!

Watch the gorgeous model in the Full 1080P HD she deserves! I shot the video at 60p and slowed it down to 24p in post in adobe premiere 6.0. :)

Also had a B&H CP (Circular Polarizer) on both the 70-200 mm Nikon D800 lens and the 50mm e-mount lens on the Sony NEX6.

Awesome "magic hour" light and feel in the January AM due to the strange cloudy/sunny weather! That's the glorious fun of shooting at the Malibu beach! Forecasts mean nothing (they predicted sun, sun, sun), and you have to have fun adpating to the world's greatest studio with the world's greatest lights (the sun in all its manifestations), props, and backdrops!

Combine the 50mm lens's optical steady shot (OSS) and the shallow-depth-of-field of the F/1.8 with Sony NEX-6 latest face-tracking auto focus, and you can see how the moving video keeps the model's pretty blue eyes in focus, while blurring the background!

She was tall, thin, fit, toned, defined, and beautiful!

crazy. oh and chocolate cake for breakfast rocks.

Requested by my friend Jan. The way I see it, I can have him humiliate any character I feel like, and make up for it by mortally wounding him.

Matthew Sylvan0 request me to show the folding wing system that I used for my latest MOC. And here it is, just like the real aircraft.

The Fieseler Fi-167 was a German Torpedo-bomber designed for use from the Graf Zeppelin class aircraft carriers under construction from 1936 to 1942.

Much has been written about these ships. It was decided to equip them with Me-109T fighters, Ju-87C dive-bombers and the Fi-167 torpedo-bombers, which would have made these Aircraft Carriers into very powerful and effective weapons.

If Graf Zeppelin was operational in 1940, it could have supported the German Invasion of Norway and it might have saved Bismarck during his final mission in 1941.

However, the two ships were never completed and the few Fi-167 that were built were used for coastal operations in the Netherlands and then sold to Croatia.

About the MOC:

I made this little plane in 2012. It´s another MOC that I´m only showing now, since I´m saving all my new designs to 2016.

The MOC features foldable wings, an external torpedo and a movable defensive machine gun on the rear.

I didn´t add any stickers or identifications because I´m tired of all the people complaining about the use of German Markings used during the war.

Hope you like it!

We tend to celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied ad multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.

We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

Natalia "Natasha" Alianovna Romanova[1] is the first character to take on the Black Widow codename in the modern mainstream Marvel Comics. She was created by editor and plotter Stan Lee, scripter Don Rico and artist Don Heck, and first appeared in Tales of Suspense #52 (April 1964). The character has been associated with several superhero teams in the Marvel Universe, including the Avengers, the Defenders, the Champions, S.H.I.E.L.D., and the Thunderbolts. She has appeared in many other forms of media, including the major motion pictures Iron Man 2, The Avengers and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, where she was portrayed by actress Scarlett Johansson.

As per request of leetrfrkno, here\'s a How-To for my Ketar Revamp. The build is a bit more complicated and unconventional than the other how tos I\'ve done, so I tried my best to make it slow and clear. Still, let me know if you have any questions.

Few tips:

There are a few connections in here that might be considered "illegal" as they put stress on the parts (such as the neck connection).

The brown minifig backpack parts were used as 1/4 stud spacers to keep the gears clear of obstruction. The minifig handlebar part that connects the back armor serves the same purpose.

Two legs are built with the 4L HF bones facing vertically, and the other two are facing horizontally.

When building the head, DO NOT USE OLD EXO-FORCE ARMS. Use the new reinforced ones, as the Creature heads will break the old ones! I found this out the hard way (with some of my few good brown arms). You have been warned.

When building the tail stinger, I used a black one of these in case you couldn\'t tell.

A few more shots of the IT Display & OOAK Agnes (by request).

Hope this helps!

Torniechelt Farm house the Cabrach Cairngorms Moray Scotland.

The black dots above the rusty roof are a flock of Jackdaws that flew from the laft hand tree on my approach.

One of the sheds of Torniechelt "little hill of the concealment"

An artistic impression of the derelict farmstead I visited this afternoon on the Cabrach in the Cairngorms.

This from Norman Harper.

I’m just back from a morning’s filming with the BBC up on The Cabrach, that most remote community that spans the high moors of West Aberdeenshire and Upper Banffshire. The BBC’s magazine series on rural Scotland, Landward, will broadcast a special on April 11, 2014, to explore the effects of World War I on rural Scotland.

As any self-respecting North-easter knows, The Cabrach is Scotland’s obvious testament to the waste of young life in wartime. The great numbers of tumbledown crofts and steadings you see in that triangle bounded by Dufftown, Rhynie and Lumsden happened not because of land policy or the Depression or a series of bad farming years. They happened because virtually all the fighting-age men and boys went off to war in 1914. Many did not return.

They believed politicians and newspaper leader-writers who said that the more men who joined up, and the quicker they did it, the sooner the enemy would be defeated and the earlier they could be home. It was the original “home by Christmas”.

We all know now that it didn’t happen that way. Many died either in battle or because they succumbed to measles, to which they had no immunity because they came from such a self-contained community.

The women, children and old folk they had left behind to keep the crofts ticking over for the implied four months could not survive beyond a second Cabrach winter and eventually had to find accommodation and work elsewhere. They abandoned the crofts, and what you see a century later was once described by a Dutch academic historian as “the biggest war memorial in Europe”.

It is also evident that quite a number of communities across Scotland were decimated after WWI by a policy of land reform that didn't work and where citizens were offered discounted fares and other enticements not all genuine to encourage them emigrate to places like Canada where the offers of land and homes etc were not all they turned out to be.

A country fit for heroes?

Ken Stott

Consultant

Professor Ewen CameronExternal

University of Edinburgh

World War One devastated the Scottish Highlands and Islands, with this part of the country suffering huge losses. Many men had left their impoverished rural homes to fight for their country and when they returned they wanted a better way of life on the land.

To help, new legislation was passed that let the government forcibly purchase farm land and then rent it out as crofts. Although over 1000 new crofts were created, the rate at which applications were handled was extremely slow. As a result, many Highlanders were left feeling bitterly disillusioned and switched their sights overseas.

There was a huge exodus of Highlanders. They spread out across the world hoping to find a new, better life. In a single decade, over a tenth of the Highland population had emigrated. So what was the long-term impact of WW1 and emigration on this part of Scotland?

Everything was made by me. She was the most requested, and surprisingly was considered but was bumped off when I decided to make my ooak Cinderella. It's taken 4 design changes, and over 200 pearls and real crystals to create this doll!:) she was first hand painted , and then given lashes. Her outfit is made up of quality materials, chiffons and organzas. Each scale on her tail was individually glittered and sewn onto her tail. There is over 60 scales on her tail. Her clam and pearl are actually from the ocean. Atlantic ocean to be exact. Her stand was molded in pottery clay from Greece. Then painted with acrylic paints. I wanted to have little sea flowers, and seaweed to surround the whole stand. To give it a realistic flair. Each flower was also made by me, hand glittered, and each have a sea pearl. The sea shells on the stand are also from the Atlantic Ocean. Her stand also has some dinglehoppers, and a silver plate. Her crown is clay, painted with acrylics, and adorned with the sea flowers(same as stand) and dinglehoppers!:) her outfit is a one piece. Which is different from all my ooak dolls, as they all have 2 to 7 separate pieces. Her fins are jeweled from front to back. The opposite side, has the opposite colors. Her tails scales are jeweled from front to back with light and dark green crystals, and small and large sea pearls. Her hair was restyled also. and she received a custom pair of earrings. All in all, this doll was a fun doll to make. She really has a sexy vixen look to her, which I love and wanted right from the start. I hope everyone loves her!:)

Another request from the same dataset (17165) as NGC 4303, a spiral galaxy I processed a bit over a month ago.

Eleven different observations were taken in the F555W filter and five were taken for F814W. This makes for some spectacularly high quality data, which means any noise you see are actually countless resolved stars.

I've also processed this galaxy in particular no less than three other times (four if you count slightly reprocessing one of them). Most recently, a wide, multispectral view in radio, infrared, visible, and x-ray! It's a really good showcase of all the different ways one can represent the same object with various astronomical imagery.

As it is 17 years of age, and has done a modest 2 Million kilometers, it's due to go on export, as both this company and the Netherlands deem it too old for duty... Still, sentimental value... as this was her first personal company car, and thus naturally, a proper memory of it had to be captured =)

“A concise poem about our work as stated elow

A place without being

a thought without thinking

creatively, two dimensions

suspended animation

possibly a perfect imitation

of what was then to see.

A frozen memory in synthetic colour

or black and white instead,

fantasy dreams in magazines

become imbedded inside my head.

Artistic views

surrealistic hues,

a photographer’s instinctive eye:

for he does as he pleases

up to that point he releases,

then develops a visual high.

The initial request for this commission was for a gypsy, which then turned into an intriguing concept of an albino because I did not have a tanned doll suitable for the right ethnic look. I did research into Romani culture and was both intrigued by their rich heritage, as well as appalled by the racist oppression they still suffer. The romanticised bohemian fashion trends, the sexual image portrayed by Esmeralda in Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame, white girls with colourful scarfs in their curled hair ( Romani women only wear a dihklo scarfs when married)... all creating a prejudiced stereotype. I had to adjust my aesthetics in hopes of not offending. With my research the monochromatic palette of the albino became something more: a protest for the mainstream media white washing the Romani heritage.

Opre Roma!

Enamaia is a dressed OOAK Inmorata 2.0 featuring the Charo sculpt, Milk skintone and Busty chest plate. She has lavender eyes, pale grey brow, nude lips and her only make up is eyeliner. She has natural nails in French manicure.

She wears dancing clothes inspired by the Romani heritage: a layered flamenco style skirt with a scarf tied around her hips, a lace blouse, embroidered vest and brown shoes in worn leather. Her jewellery is worn bronze.

The wig is mohair wool and has metal ornaments woven into the braids in traditional Romani fashion.

Can I have your attention, Ohh- ohh ohh- ohh- ohhhhh

I just opened my mouth

Is it clear

Is it loud for you

You just need me to be stable

But I won't be able

To keep it together again

Now don't pretty please me

You're not making it easy, to slow me down

Okay I'm not going to make a big deal about this, but please don't copy my ideas... It's very annoying, or at least ask me? That's all I'm asking. Thank you.

Estrella, a couple of friends and I went to the EX a few days ago and we came across a stand that sold little instruments, once I saw the little violin I knew I had to get it for Ciel. It completes his personality, I think. XD
