I decided to repurpose some plastic spools and make them into tiny pin cushions . . . i figure it's better than just throwing them away!

The choices made during the design process for Wennekerpand, an Industrial theater-café in Schiedam are though. Made by Studio Bertjan Pot, it all started with a new safety ladder and carnival lights. When they arrived it suddenly seemed like the perfect illogical combination to make. Rawness and glitter. The installation is called ‘Stairway to heaven’ the repurposed ladders became a brilliant and attractive object, there to illuminate.
this is the after photo of a project i did this week. i repurposed an old vintage printer's drawer into this mod jewerly case... can't wait to hang it on the wall!

The unusually warm Christmas meant the girls could spend time repurposing Grandpa and Grandma's back yard - from young forest growth to rooms and dungeons. I got in trouble multiple times for walking through walls (note the lines of bricks and logs - don't cross!). We had a sweet time in West Virginia.
Fort Andross is a large old mill building that sits along the Androscoggin River.
This year it has became home to the rockin' Brunswick winter farmer's market. You can find live music, bread, seafood, root vegetables, locally roasted coffee and all sorts of crafts. I also end up seeing lots of friends. It's my Saturday morning cocktail party.
I created this candelabra from an old chandelier and a bunch of white pearl Mardi Gras beads.
