I took this photo on 6/2/2016 at Lakeside Park. I reported the tags to the Tucson Wildlife Center and just now (1/18/2018) received a reply that may be of some interest: "Nice photo of pelican 51H! I helped band this pelican on July 15, 2014 on Gunnison Island, Great Salt Lake, Utah. Glad to see that it is doing well. If you happen to find any more pelicans with wing tags, please let me know. You can report your sightings at reportband.gov. Thanks! --John Neill, johnneill [@t] utah.gov"

Who is away in training (90 miles away). Boo Hoo!
She has become so big and strong... AND SMART, too smart for her own good. She decided when she didn't want to work and would just stop or start moving backwards. She is 3 1/2 years old now and in her teenage phase. She also figured out that women have a soft side and would play mind games with that. We'll see what a man can do. The trainer I sent her to came highly recommended by both a respected man and woman, so I trust she is in the best of hands.
I will visit her at least once a week. Photos to come...
