Back off, man! I'm a serious journalist!
One of my photos illustrated an article in The Atlantic about journalism schools back in 2013.
Not only am I a photographer, but I'm also a model!

Hilary Potkewitz now covers Wall St., regional commercial banks, hedge funds, private equity and the legal business. She also co-writes Neighborhood Journal, a weekly column about business communities in the outer boroughs. Before Crain's, Hilary covered technology and the video game industry at the Los Angeles Business Journal, where she received an L.A. Press Club Award in 2006. Prior to journalism, Hilary spent three years as a licensed investment rep and financial analyst for GE Capital. Hilary was raised in New England and holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College. She earned a Master’s in business journalism through a joint program between Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism and Kellogg School of Management. She now lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
it's just struck me what a motley selection of pix this upload is. here i am as a junior reporter, interviewing steve maharey who was the shadow minister for education at the time (i think). the cameraman is bijan far, a crazy and talented persian guy who was a great shooter and taught me a lot about the job. auckland, 1996.
August 23rd, 1987, Boise, from my diary
Charlie and I are touring the Stanley Basin and Sun Valley...drove here in Charlie's Porche with the top down. Our trip was beautiful, We admired the mountains, rivers, never seen the Sawthooths like this, the light the big clouds. I saw a lot of red-tailed hawks circling above, even a deer or two. We stopped and had lunch in Stanley. Arrived in Sun Valley on a sleepy afternoon, we shopped and walked downtown. We called Belinda and she joined us. I was haunted by the winter of 83-4 when I lived here. I called Pam and we were both reluctant to do dinner, instead she met us for drinks at Slavey's. She looked as beautiful as I remembered...a soft voice, amazing eyes and surprisingly tall. We talked most the night in a dark booth, Charlie was on a roll and soon we were having an amazing time. There's just something about her, the same way there's something about Sergant's painting Madame X...can't really put a finger on it...but theres something about her...
