Subway Inn on the Upper East Side was in business for more than 77 years before it was forced to close in December 2014 after it's lease was not renewed. One of its most famous customers was Marilyn Monroe , who filmed the "Seven Year Itch" nearby and stopped in for drinks. Arsemio Salinas, who has owned the #divebar since 2007, after working as a porter, bartender and manager for the original owner, luckily was able to relocate the #bar less than 2 blocks away at Second Avenue and 60th Street and re-installed the iconic #vintage #neonsign, the original wooden bar and stools and even the bar booths. Gente del mundo entero, en Chile hay una democracia en crisis. La gente salió a la calle a manifestarse en respuesta a más de 30 años de abusos a través del alza y privatización de los servicios y derechos básicos (educación, salud, agua, vivienda, pensiones), la precarización laboral, colusiones, robos, la devastación de los territorios, etc. todo amparado bajo la constitución del año 1980 (bajo la dictadura de Pinochet).
El gobierno de Sebastian Piñera ha sacado al ejército y las policías militarizadas a la calle, imponiendo un toque de queda, restringiendo el derecho de manifestarse, reunirse y el libre tránsito ciudadano.
Los medios masivos de comunicación criminalizan las manifestaciones. Hoy es el pueblo de Chile en la calle clamando justicia social, familias completas cansadas de los abusos.
Se hace el llamado a la comunidad mundial, para que pronuncie su solidaridad con Chile y el total rechazo a estas violentas medidas del gobierno, que nos priva de nuestros derechos humanos básicos.

It wasn't a very hot day. Still, it seemed quite difficult to pedal up the steep slope slowly. Wouldn't there be a clear goal in the mind of stepping on a bicycle without getting off?
많이 더운 날은 아니었다. 그래도 꽤나 가파른 경사의 길을 천천히 페달을 밟으며 올라가는 뒷모습은 힘들어 보였다. 자전거에서 내리지 않고 밟는 마음에는 분명한 목표가 있지 않았을까?

Durga Puja is one of the largest Hindu festivals that involves worship of Goddess Durga symbolising power and triumph of good over evil in Hindu mythology.
Vijaya Dashami
Also known as Dashain or Tenth day of Navratri or Durgotsav, Vijaya Dashami commemorates the day that Durga appeared riding a lion to slay the Mahisasura. Statutes of Durga are paraded through the streets, then immersed in water.
It was 2nd of August when wondering trough the empty alleys of the Old Bazar that morning, I noticed on a facade several paint brushes in different colours. That’s how my multimedia exhibition 7/24 started. The idea was to represent my emotions trough different colour on similar objects. Wondering during one week I was opening different colour of doors. What colour are you? We are the world.
