Arts and Growth Report

In collaboration with Arts Council England, the Federation launched a report looking at the link between the UK's commercial creative companies and public arts investment. This paper explores the roles of both in economic growth and civic regeneration and cites the experience and business acumen of a number of high-profile figures from across our creative industries. The report was launched with a keynote speech from HM Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries, The Hon Ed Vaizey.

 

The launch featured guest speakers and panellists including Ed Vaizey, Minister for Culture and the Digital Economy; Josh Berger, President and Managing Director of Warner Bros. Entertainment UK, Arts Council England Chair, Sir Peter Bazalgette, Melanie Eusebe, Chair and Co-Founder, Black British Business Awards and Tracey Barber, Chief Marketing Officer, Havas Creative Group.

The Governor joined W.L. Gore and Associates President & CEO Terry Kelly, Co-Chairs of the Delaware STEM Council Dr. Teri Quinn Gray & Judson Wagner, along with members of the STEM Council to release the second annual report. World Risk Report 2014 Presentation

Friday 14 February 2025, saw the latest Greater Manchester Police recruits reach the end of their basic training period.

 

They took part in a passing out parade at the force’s Sedgley Park Centre.

 

The group, who were sworn in as police officers at the beginning of their course, will now continue with further levels of training on the road to becoming operational police officers in areas all across Greater Manchester.
