From the archives..a welcoming sight whenever i go home to the province..i had to make the driver stop to take this one..but i cant go home now due to travel restrictions..will take one again as soon as i can..

El ingeniero Leandro Alloza en 1864 diseñó el faro, pero tenía un alcance de poca distancia.
En 1891 el ingeniero Modesto Español diseñó un muro de seguridad para proteger el faro, la construcción de la presa se terminó en 1915. El ingeniero José Serrano fue el responsable de la construcción del faro al final de la presa.

El Faro es un homenaje al pasado y presente del espacio marítimo de El Grau.

In 1891 the engineer Modesto Español designed a safety wall in order to protect the lighthouse, the construction of the dam was finished in 1915. The engineer José Serrano was responsible for the building of the lighthouse at the end of the dam.
During the 90s, with the construction of the Plaza Del Mar and Puerto Azahar, it was placed the old lighthouse of Castelló, which was renewed by a more modern and efficient one.
The Lighthouse is a tribute to the past and present maritime area of El Grau.

The wooden bridge on the river Korana in Karlovac is one of the city heritage attractions. The first one was built after the First World War so to this day on the same site being built or renewed only wooden bridge.
I updated my head to Catwa HDPRO, and could not be happier. There are so many more options of tweaking and adjusting in these new and modern heads. It took me quite some time to get the look "right", so it feels like 'me', but now finally there.
This small place, located in the historical core of Liège, has been entirely renewed between 1978 and 1985. Charles Vandenhove (1927-) was the architect of the project. He proposed an intervention on the XVIIth and XVIIIth century building characterized by a marked difference between existing structures and new ones, through the use of steel and concrete and postmodern architecture. As one can see from the picture, the place has kept its character and attractiveness over the years…

We were photographing the species that appeared when the guide excitedly told us that an owlet was vocalizing. Since we hadn't photographed an owlet before, we tried with renewed enthusiasm to identify the origin of the sound, but quickly became discouraged as it seemed beyond our capacity to identify a bird that we already knew to be very small, although we had never seen one before. We refocused on what was displayed before our eyes and didn't think about it anymore.
After about 15 minutes, the guide exclaimed excitedly, "it's over there". However, even with the explanation of where to look, it was not easy and some of us took a few minutes to follow the instructions of the trunks to find this small, but beautiful, ball of feathers!
We spent another 10 minutes photographing this beauty, searching for possible angles, backgrounds, and frames. I even managed to find a second bird by myself. The difficult part is finding the first one :)

Northern Gannets are monogamous and mate for life. Pairs form, and renew their bonds, at the breeding colony, which may contain thousands of pairs in close proximity to each other. Once partnered, male and female greet each other at the nest site each time they reunite, the males shaking the head, the females offering the nape for the male to nibble. They also engage in so-called “mutual fencing,” wherein they face each other, often touching, calling, shaking heads side to side as their bills clack together, bowing, and finally preening each other’s neck.
