This is the final render of a still life domino set. Part one of my domino project (part 2 is animation with yafray)
In order to rotate the eye while allowing the platform to tilt, a flexible belt and tensioner was used.
The eye can rotate a full 360 degrees and can tilt 30 degrees on two axis.
A project of my friend, modeled by me.
3D Project in Archicad, render in Artlantis and a litle photoshop in background.(Unfinished)
Just something I tried out after watching CGMA's Interview with Ryan Lang (Visual Development Artist, Wreck-It-Ralph). You can find the video at www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSeE7JnXhbE.
Awesome talk, and thanks to Ryan for the really clear and simple Photoshop demo on how you rendered the hard candy for the movie!
A couple of WIP renders.
Textures from Textures.com or my own. HDRI from HDRI Haven.
Rendered in Cycles - 500 passes.
Wall slice revealed during renovation. While the house looks rendered it is from a particular era.

This was originally made as a test render piece for Vray in 3DSmax using HDR lighting, i wanted to see how the refraction and reflection would turn out, so of course i had to use chrome and glass materials :)
Made from a torus knot and a plain old sphere. this was maybe a couple of years ago now .... i should get back into 3DSmax **makes mental note***
Latest render featuring actual designs for Glasshouse Gardens, S5 & S6 office buildings, Penny Brook and Adagio hotels and Rogers-style clones as fillers elsewhere.
Since I went aahead and bought the upgrade for Frax I decided to try the custom render feature. With this you pay a samll amount to have a higher rez render done on their system since it is not possible on the Ipad. I chose this fractal because to the amount of texture and the subtle details. This was rendered to the medium rez which is 4096 x 3072. for this I paid 2 credits. Credits can be purchased at three levels, $0.99 for 20 credits, $2.99 for 80 credits or $5.99 for 240 credits. All things considered, I find that although Frax is fun to play with and it is nice to have a good fractal app on my tablet, I will probably never consider it more than an amusement and a way to create fun videos once in a while, but not a serious art tool.
