Flush bracket G4244 was used during the Third geodetic levelling, Scotland. It was included on the Ayr to Stranraer levelling line. The surveyor's description was N angle of building at Humeston, SW side of road.
This marker was last verified in 1970. The OS Online Archive gives the description "outbuilding Humeston Farm, NE face, N angle.
SITE VISIT
BM 132.67m. Visited with prior knowledge that the FB had been saved from a demolished barn and was in the safe custody of the farmer. Unable to locate anyone on day of visit - FB not seen.

This volunteer spent two days in an attic in tyvek in order to remove lots of moldy insulation from a home. Crazy Humidity! Not to mention hot weather in an attic wearing non-breathable material!
