R/C Plane......

Replaced one of our thermostats with a wifi enabled one. A few hours later the setup is all complete and I have decided to go ahead and replace the thermostat for the upstairs zone too.

Pictured is the iPad interface. There is also an iPhone interface and a good ol' website which I'll be using a bit until an Android version is released.

It was a fluke that my first two SPs this time around were from my back, and then the next two didn't show my face either. I thought I'd try to keep it up for a week but it was easier to take a standard shot today!

So I've talked about this shirt before, but it's embarrassingly about seven+ years old now. I don't know exactly. But while heading into the subway tonight, I crossed paths with a woman wearing the exact same shirt in the exact same color. I openly said "that woman is wearing the same shirt as me!" and I even pointed, but she didn't see me. I mean, come on! We are both horribly out of fashion, holding onto shirts from years ago. We should be friends!

(Also if you click on that link to the shirt, you can see just how much weight i've gained since then. yikes!)

was home alone so I had some time to set up my stuff and did a shot with a white background. Took another one of the playmobil house.

Wasn´t home alone in the end :-) Created my own company....

Shower, throw on a Tshirt and shorts, stretch, and walk out of the bedroom, through the foyer, and into the living room-office. Done!

The squirrels in chicagos humboldt park aren't as trusting as the ones at UCB, so i used a remote control to photograph these. I added flash too. You shoulda seen 'em jump when the flashes went off. Hilarious.

These were some of the photos that I took after I bought my first Digital Camera a Canon EOS REBEL I took these photos on March 12 2004 in Reynolds Industrial Park in Green Cove Springs, Florida. At the time the CSX Railroad had just purchased several Shoving Platforms (aka Remote Control Caboose Replacement). The units were used to control switching Locomotives on Local Trains (especially during back-up moves) where a crew member could stand at the control panel on the Flat Car and control the Locomotive remotely by Radio; you can see the Antenna along with Horns and Flashing Lights at the Top of the Control Console in Photo #2 of 4. Of course today most railroads use a Fanny Pack Control Console that a Switchman wears at his beltline to control the Remote Control Locomotives especially within Rail Yards. I believe these Shoving Platforms were assembled by a Railcar Repair Facility within this Industrial Park because there were several units that were not yet fully assembled at the time I Photographed them.

This is a case where finding the best solution to a problem takes most of an evening, and putting it together only takes a couple of minutes.

Remote control operation of locomotives is used for some moves on the Whyalla tramway. Here the driver controls a trio of G & W units as they run around their loaded consist in the arrival sidings at Whyalla on 23 December 2008.

Now in need of some high contrast subjects!

The blinky LED interface is very much a first pass, I intend a new version with a nicer, and easier to use, LCD screen.

I am a typical male when it comes to the remote control. I have to have in my hand/control at all times. I am usually watching 2-3 programs. I refuse to watch a commercial so I flip. I have over 400 channels and I know almost all of them. The nice part about being single and having a dog is that he never complains about me changing the channel constantly.

I tried out a yoga class at my gym, and it was really good! The gym actually had blankets and blocks, and the instructor definitely knew what she was doing. I'm spoiled from years at the Iyengar Institute, but since I can't afford that, this will do just fine.

Singaporeans work in order to eat and shop. So I happily obliged. The Great Singapore Sale is going on, and this pair of patent leather flats in a reddish brown were calling to me. (Calling louder were a similar pair in olive green, but the 4 department stores we went to didn't have them in my size.)
