Remember that song of Sidney Youngblood? I really do and still like it ;)

An empty soldier's helmet rests atop a pair of empty boots at the Northland Vietnam Veterans' Memorial in Duluth, MN.

The display is placed in front of two burning torches as part of POW/MIA Remembrance Day in the United States, which honors 88,000 servicemen - and their families - who still have not received final reckoning since the Vietnam War. Taken 17 September 2010.

We had Thanksgiving at my sister's house this year in Little Creek, Louisiana. My father grew up in this sleepy little town in LaSalle Parish. This lake, Hub Lake, deep in the woods, is where my Dad spent time as a kid, fishing and exploring. It was great to spend time with my Dad and get this shot of him looking out over the small lake. The best part was riding on the four-wheeler through the mud to get to this spot.

Last year, Jennie bought birthday candles for Tonette's and Kim's birthdays. She found these funny question mark candles. I saw this one recently and thought of Jennie.
