This is a collection of my mom's medication. The hospice people said to flush them down the toilet , but I thought that was a bad idea. They have been in this jar for many years.

This is a cafe in Southend-on-Sea's high street. It certainly remedied a certain lassitude which had overcome us (probably caused by a glass or two of wine at lunch an hour or two previously).
Inside the chemist shop in the 1900's town, containing all manner of weird and wonderful remedies!

Montenegro is a country in Eastern Europe bordering Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Albania and the Adriatic Sea. It used to be a part of Yugoslavia. The capital is Podgorica. The name Montenegro is Italian and means Black mountain. Montenegro was an independent princedom between 1878 and 1910 and an independent kingdom until 1918. That year Montenegro became part of Yugoslavia. In 2003 Yugoslavia was transformed into the new country of Serbia and Montenegro, but this fell apart in 2006 when both countries went their separate ways. Montenegro is therefore the youngest country in Europe. Montenegro is not a member of the European Union, but it is a member of NATO. Despite the fact that Montenegro is not yet an EU Member State, people do pay with the euro. Montenegro may be small, but this beautiful nation has a huge array of natural and man-made wonders. Once overlooked in favor of more famous Mediterranean countries, Montenegro is quickly gaining a reputation as a great place to travel. It's easy to see why. The mountainous hinterland is home to deep gorges, flowing rivers, glacial lakes and old-growth forests, popular for adventure activities. The winding coast runs along pretty blonde bays overlooking the royal blue Adriatic Sea, ancient Venetian villages and UNESCO-walled towns. Kotor is a fortified town on Montenegro’s Adriatic coast, in a bay near the limestone cliffs of Mt. Lovćen. Characterized by winding streets and squares, its medieval old town has several Romanesque churches, including Kotor Cathedral. Dobrota is basically a residential area of Kotor, starting north of Kotor Old Town and extending for 5 km along the coastline.
Wedged between black mountains and in the last corner of the bay is the attractive town of Kotor. Surrounded by sturdy walls that line the surrounding slopes, the city is a medieval maze of museums, churches, cafe-strewn squares and Venetian palaces. Kotor dates back to the Middle Ages and thanks to its preserved center, it is on the UNESCO list of natural and historical World Heritage Sites. We take a hike along the old city walls to the Castle of San Giovanni / Fortress of Saint John. The Castle of San Giovanni is one of the absolute highlights of Kotor. The view over the terracotta roofs and maze-like streets of the old town is incredible. The huge cruise ships docked in Kotor are dwarfed by the surrounding mountains and it really gives you an idea of how big and massive the Bay of Kotor is. The path along the old walls is rocky and uneven in parts and there is even a small church, the Church of Our Lady of Remedy on the way up. It is a long and tough climb, especially in the hot sun. Don't forget to bring a drink because there is no restaurant upstairs.
“The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be.”

An early morning picture taken late last summer
I put together a "mini aquarium" for this shot. The Alka-Seltzer tablet is held to the front glass with a spring from a ball point pen. side lighting on front of the tablet via a small mirror. the rest of the scene illuminated by overhead sunlight, and a flashlight on the back of the mini aquarium. Focus and other settings adjusted...then, just add water!
The 10/8 theme for Macro Mondays is Remedy, and, for me at least, I find that my nightly martini remedies most of what few ailments I've been afflicted with over the years.
I had to crop this more than I wanted to, but had no choice if I wanted to stay within the 3" parameters set by the group.
MacroMonday - Remedy
What, its not clear what this "remedy" is?

A good remedy in my daily fight against Rheumatoid arthritis
When the pain cuts you deep
When the night keeps you from sleeping
Just look and you will see
That I will be your remedy
When the world seems so cruel
And your heart makes you feel like a fool
I promise you will see
That I will be, I will be your remedy....

More pictures from Cornerstone Festival. One of the best sets at the festival was Remedy Drive. It was the first time I saw them live and really enjoyed it. As you can see it was pretty action packed.
