Besides its importance as a fragrance, lavender is considered calming to those with nervous tension. Lavender oil is sometimes rubbed into the temples for head pain, added to bath water for an anxiety-reducing bath, or put on a cotton ball and placed inside a pillowcase to treat insomnia. Lavender oil also works as an antiseptic making it a natural treatment option for skin disorders (sourced from HowStuffWorks).

Macro Mondays and Remedy
A capsule is a casing, usually of gelatine, in which a medicine or food supplement is adjusted for use by the patient. There are hard and soft capsules. In the first capsules powders are usually measured, in the second mainly non-aqueous solutions (for example fish oil or vitamin A, D or E in oil). In the presence of water, the gelatine becomes soft and so the content of the capsule is released.
These capsules are gastric acid inhibitors.

Crazy Tuesday theme Leaves; interesting how the purple leaves turn green…
I have been held captive in my bedroom for 5 days with Covid but everyone has left the house and I have snuck out to take photos of the lovely leaves of the acers around my ponds. They are my rescue remedy from sheer and utter boredom!
I’m feeling much better but the Lateral Flow Test is having a laugh; this morning a strong and vivid red line showed up even before the control line did. So now I'm locked away until the family decides they can't live without me anymore. By the state of the house, I say that'll be fairly soon!
Happy Crazy Tuesday! 😄

When a cold is approaching, we are always helped by a glass or a few glasses of freshly brewed rosemary tea. With rosemary fresh from our garden.

Kloster St. Blasien, St. Blasien, Baden-Württemberg, Deutschland.
St. Blaise's Abbey (German: Kloster St. Blasien) was a former Benedictine abbey of the Holy Roman Empire founded in the late 10th century in the Black Forest near the town of St. Blasien (today in the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany). The abbey was dissolved during the secularisation of 1806, and its buildings were used as one of the first mechanised factories in Germany. From 1934, the surviving buildings were used as a Jesuit university, the Kolleg St. Blasien.
The abbey temporarily had the status of an imperial abbey from 1125 to 1250. The prince-abbot (Fürstabt) of St. Blaise held princely status (Reichsfürst) again from 1609, not because of the abbey itself, but because the abbey had acquired the county of Bonndorf, which carried with it princely status.
The abbey church burned down in 1768 and was rebuilt as a circular neoclassical church designed by the architect Pierre Michel d'Ixnard with a huge dome measuring 36 metres in diameter and 63 metres high (the third largest in Europe north of the Alps) from 1781 under Prince-Abbot Martin Gerbert. It was named Dom St. Blasius, and is also known as "St. Blaise's Cathedral" (so called because of its great size and magnificence, not because it is a cathedral in the ecclesiastical or administrative sense). It was consecrated in 1784.
The effects of another catastrophic fire in 1874 were finally remedied in the 1980s.

SALDA LAKE
Lake Salda is a mid-size crater lake[citation needed] in southwestern Turkey, within the boundaries of Yeşilova district of Burdur Province. It lies at a distance of about fifty kilometers to the west from the province seat Burdur.
Lake Salda is often included in the Turkish Lakes Region that extends across inner western to southern Anatolia, especially Isparta Province and Afyonkarahisar Province, although Lake Salda is geographically separate from the larger lakes, which are more to the east and, being a crater lake, is morphologically different from these tectonic lakes.
The lake area covers 4,370 hectares, and its depth reaches 196 meters, making it one of the deeper lakes in Turkey, if not the deepest. The lake sedimentary records show high resolution climate changes that are related to solar variability during the last millennium.
The lake is a popular excursion spot for people across the region or from beyond, the more so due to the hydromagnesite mineral found in its coastal waters, which is believed to offer remedies for certain dermatological diseases. The shorelines, surrounded by black pine forests, are also popular among hunters, the game and the fowl available including quails, hares, foxes, boars and wild ducks, aside from the lake's fish. White sandy beaches, limpid water and seven crystal-white islets within the lake complete the scenery.
A township that starts almost at the shore to the southwest of the lake carries the same name, Salda. The local administrative seat of Yeşilova is located to the east of the lake at a distance of about four kilometers and Yeşilova municipality manages the lake's camping facilities.
Its peculiar morphology has led to a number of academic studies conducted on Lake Salda. The unusual alkaline nature of the lake means that is one of the few locations where ancient stromatolite algae still grows.
In 2019, a team of planetary scientists from America and Turkey conducted research on Lake Salda's shoreline microbialite sediments. In March 2021, NASA reported that its Mars surface-exploring rover Perseverance showed that "the minerals and rock deposits at Salda are the nearest match on earth to those around the Jezero Crater where the spacecraft landed."
Hoping to protect the Lake Salda area, the nation's environmental authority has launched a huge national park project. The Salda Lake National Park is currently under construction and should be finished in 2023.(Wiki)

Though nothing, nothing will keep us together We can beat them, forever and ever Oh, we can be heroes just for one day
Lately, I'm blacked out
It's getting me scared now
I keep flirting with the edge, there's nothing left to tear down
Reality's painful
Where's my guardian angel?
