Because im still very new to 3DS max, and a complete noob at baking normals, it took me a little while to make a good UV and set up my smoothing groups to get good results with this model. I'm learning a lot though, and its helping me get a lot faster.
I adore Nine Inch Nails this year and the art direction thought out "The Slip" and "Ghosts" has been amazing.
See James White's post on "The Slip" Artwork . blog.signalnoise.com/?p=438
Here is my remake of the cover for "Ghosts I-IV" its turned out to be very simple process.
The orginal can be seen in the comments.
If enough people want to know how it's done ill write a tutorial.
Back on 4-3-09, I was almost done with my first 365 and I was a member to a group The Rogue Players, which was a predecessor to the current We're Here group. I decided to be an egotist and have the other Rogues do a copycat of a picture from within that 365. The following year, I had April 3rd again to choose a theme for TRP, so as a joke, I had them do another copycat, and I've been keeping with it since. Today marks the 8th annual pikespice copycat day. =)
While it would've been easy to remake an old phoon picture so I could add to the 100x that I'm doing this year, I decided on something different. Since I don't participate in Facedown Tuesday anymore, just for old times' sake, I chose a facedown shot from when I was doing my 2nd 365 in 2010.
(Still haven't been able to find a hot maid to do the vacuuming for me)
A couple hundred makers and teachers gathered at the ReMake Education Summit, held August 3 - 5, 2016, at Studio 180 in Santa Rosa, CA. I went there with my associate Sarah Brewer, who is helping me teach our maker art classes this fall. It was a great way to connect with other educators and learn from each other.
The conference started with a few short speeches by co-host Dan Blake, Doug Dougherty and others. We then made simple objects together, such as a ReMake T-shirt made with vinyl-printed designs heat-pressed onto the cloth.
The morning keynotes were inspiring, as presenters shared their experiences as maker educators. They taught at different levels, from pre-K to higher ed, yet they all observed that activities that are hands-on, project-based, student-driven and collaborative can help students find a sense of purpose -- and give them the confidence that they can change the world.
We spent the rest of the day joining a variety of breakout sessions ranging from crowdsourcing your makerspace, to learning how to program a Raspberry Pi, control animated robots or how to assess the impact of maker education on young learners.
I gave a talk about our Maker Art classes, which combine art, tech and storytelling for young learners. I showed videos and photos of our recent Wonderbox and City of the Future courses, and how they help students develop their creative, technical and social skills in a playful way.
Many thanks to the team at ReMake and 180 Studios for organizing this fine gathering. They did a great job connecting teachers and resources. It was great way to share best practices, brainstorm new ideas, and start new collaborations. Well worth the trip!

A remake of an original found in the archives. Thank goodness for the archives where the old can be revived or the lost can be found and posted for the first time. Archive diving is great when life is too busy and there is little time to take the camera out.
I made this after I got into Halloween, It took time ontill i got it right but here it is.

Hahaha :D
Omg.. doing this, was like soo much fun!
This girl, she kept on screaming at me to stop clicking pictures of me, especially with the pose from the movie Titanic.. cz like, there were soo many cars passing by us, and people could see us.
They must've thought we were crazy.
There was this one guy, who even put his window down and looked out at us! Haha :D But Adeeti (this amazing model) didn't notice it.. and I didn't intend on telling her :P
And this pretty much sucks. I dont like it at all. I think I could've done better with this though. I wanted to give this, an old old vintage feel.. but..Sheesshh.. Its not at all cool, when you dont like your pictures!!
Ekkk :/
Weird Fact 401:
I didn't like the movie Titanic that much. I mean sure, it was dramatic, romantic blah blah blah.. all the perfect things for a girl. But I dont like that stuff.
*pukes... Bleekkshhh!
But I pretty much dont mind if the others do.
So chill guys!
Have fun!
Buh byee! ;]]
I wasn't too impressed with my version of this remake (number 2) so I decided to change the setting a bit and used a regular iceglass. Still not particularly fond of this at all. I used sorbetice which is not so great in color as regular ice... Might have to redo this at some point! I used studiolights from left behind and fill in from front right.

Elbette Licker oyunda karşılaşacağımız tek tanıdık yaratık değil ama Capcom şimdilik bu yaratık üzerinden heyecanı arttırmaya çalışıyor.

I decided to remake my Flying Scotsman model into a style more like my model of Gordon from Thomas and Friends, as they are brothers in-universe. I took Gordon and redid the boiler to use SNOT-work and revised the tender to look more like the one usually used by the engine. (although I must admit, the tender is not a perfect copy of the real world design) A lot of rework was needed, as some parts were difficult to find or not existent in dark green, although it helped that I have quite a stockpile of this color on hand, and an older Flying Scotsman model I disassembled to reuse it's pieces.
...and yes, I know the very front portion of the frame (the part over the guiding wheels) is too long. There isn't really much I could do about it, as I did try to modify it, but it threw all the other proportions off, so I changed it back.
