Time to remake it full size, I guess. Time to stretch it floor to ceiling, even.
“I’m dying, I get to choose the video”.
Sitting bolt upright Jeffrey reasserted his dominance over the situation, silencing his parents. His mouth at the apex hushed the base of this invert family triangle. That Jeffrey could sit bolt upright, at that moment, was somewhat of a miracle. His six-foot four-inch frame had been prone for weeks, reduced from its once impressive sixteen stone to a mere seven stone. ‘Singing in the Rain’ was inserted into that other gaping hole at the base of the television as Jeffrey collapsed back onto his re-adjusted pillows and his parents resettled themselves into their protracted vigil as Debbie Reynolds and her cohorts salved their shocked essences. I gasped, laughed, and loved, inwardly at Jeffrey’s delicious assertion, and made some tea to further salve and anaesthetize their whipped souls. For this was an age of soul whipping. It was a time when parents would find out, in the same week, that their only son was not only gay, but was also dying. It was a time when the usual divine-right-order of children burying their parents would be inverted repeatedly, and geriatrics would drag their weary carcasses from Virginian, or other stately, backwaters on invented shopping trips to the 'Big Apple', to secretly sit next to their emaciated progeny. It was a time of great shame.
How do I describe Rack? There is thirty-five years of evidence to sift through, but these were years that could be described as life lived ‘in extremis’. Maybe this is not true. I am not even sure of this. Perhaps dealing with your friends in their twenties and thirties dying all around you is normal. Maybe HIV was just our generation’s Vietnam. Rack owns this story with me, I think of it as ‘our’ story. It is not my story alone. It is simply a story, a fiction clinging onto a battered, and battering, ‘reality’.
Jeffrey didn’t die at the beginning of this tale, but I need to ‘kill’ him here. I injected morphine into his chest through a catheter, set up by his doctor in our loft in Manhattan, to help him die. There was little choice, he was about to universally hemorrhage and the only way to stop this sanguine explosion was to slow down his vital signs so that coma and release could happen, otherwise he would have bled through every orifice. His parents asked me to assist him and absented themselves to their hotel, or disappeared by going on a shopping trip to ‘Bergdorf Goodmans’. Although I was HIV negative at the time, and would remain negative for another ten years yet, his parents needed to blame me for Jeffrey’s condition. I recognize that they needed to blame someone, and I was the closest to hand. The poor maligned cuckoo in the nest is not always the culprit. These negotiations were not particularly delicate, it seemed that most accommodations were reached in a state of numbness, and we despised each other for our tacit agreements.
How do you describe ‘damage control’ without making it sound pathetic? How do you find the words to describe that accommodation which is an act of mutual abuse based on trust and which is an attempt to reverse that initial damage? The only way forward is to describe an inter-weaving, time strands taken from different ages and woven and plaited into a whole, which might describe the healed self in tandem with the healed and healing other, that is your abuser and object of your abuse. I am talking about a reversal, a road back from abuse but through abuse, it is the only way back. Attached to the Gordian knot of the self, blind and trusting, walking backwards to the healed and knowing self, to a point of innocence and enlightenment. This is what I want to attempt to do with this story. I am not going to judge it until it is finished. I am not going to allow her to judge it either. Otherwise, we would both turn into pillars of salt, blubbering salt licks.

I haven't decided whether it's a laser, particle gun, or yet another plasma rifle. Just because it's called PRISM, doesn't necessarily mean it involves light, I just really liked the name.

This is a reprocessing of an older picture. I had to do it since the old version had a line on the right side and did not qualify for Fotopedia. I used Capture NX2 for RAW processing.

It is a very popular ski resort among the people of Bihor and Alba counties, with a 700-meter ski slope. There are several notable sites such as the Vârciorog Waterfall, Ghetarul de la Scărişoara, Groapa Ruginoasă, Piatra Grăitoare, Pătrăhăiţeşti village, Bihorul Peak (1848m).
I remember how my awesome teacher (R.I.P. Alexej) told us ones that even if you do a remake of somebody's photograph and it is not YOUR idea you steal learn something new, it is a good practice and as long as you credit them it's fine.

I am trying to remake some sets (by improving the design but keeping the style), here the gas station from the town plan set.
I didn't change much of the gas station's design, I just made it modular to fit with the other modular buildings, but remade the cars and gas pumps.

I am not much for portraits, so this is really my first attempt. I did a little bit of work in LR2 because as you can see, it is rather dark.

The double rainbow was such a wonderful sight that I hurried the posting. The color balance was terrible...
I've finally overcome my shortage of free time to make the needed corrections.
To those in this area, my son and I have been asked to donate our time on Friday for another charity fashion show at the notorious Replay Lounge. The shows are wild, fun and always for a good cause. The DVDs we create will be available at the participating stores and the featured charity to raise additional money.

So it's been a long time since my last upload. A lot has happened in the last year and a half. First, I didn't play a lot of "photogenic" games (A lot of Street Fighter, Xcom 2, Dysco Elysium, Oxygen not included, Monster hunter) I did play Doom Eternal, Sekiro and other AAA games , but I just wanted to play those and not take photos.
But mostly it was life who kept me busy. Last year I took the decision to go back to school for studying photography. It wasn't an easy decision to take at 26, plus the school, I chose was on the other side of the world. But I did it, I dropped everything and moved from France to Canada last august and since then I'm officially a photography student, and I think it's the best decision I ever made. Moving forward, you will probably notice that I will use more Lightroom for color grading and use Reshade only for DoF, since it's more in line with my real world photography workflow, and the fact that I am way more effective with it.

A remake of von Nebula was my idea fix for almost a year. Didn't want to change overall appearance wery much because he already looked cool as a set . And yeah, somehow he became a Toxic Reapa in terms of weapon :D.

Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers, and Leatherface. Four of the most well known and most recognized of the Horror movie genre. All seemingly unstoppable and all the stuff true nightmarish horror is made of!
Here we have the remake version of the four icons. Are the remakes better, or worse? That's a matter of some debate but I myself thought they could have been a whole lot better and at the same time a whole lot worse. They seem to be so middle of the road that most people don't have a lukewarm feeling about them. I myself think that the Friday the 13th remake needed better pacing but was still pretty decent. I really don't like the Rob Zombie Halloween remake-imagining-a-reboot-a-thon. and I am one of the few that actually prefers the PREQUEL to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, hence why the TCM Leatherface iin this shot from that film. And Nightmare on Elm Street had SO much potential and SO much of that movie was done right but they tried to do too much to remind us of the old film they forgot to try something new. Also, too many jump scares. However, there is one thing I think we can all agree on...the toys are AWESOME!
All the figures in this shot are the NECA figures and yes, I know there are two figures available for the TCM remake but again, I liked the prequel better and I still wanted all NECA toys in this shot so the prequel is what you get! >:D
I'm really pleased so far with the new stuff NECA has been putting out and especially the new articulation making these figures much easier to pose in more then one pose! Now if someone would just update the classic Freddy, Jason, Leatherface and Michael Myers with the new articulation like the Remake Freddy and Jason seen here, I'd be pretty happy.
