Betlemi Street, located in the heart of Tbilisi's historic Old Town, is a charming and picturesque neighborhood that reflects the city's rich cultural heritage. The narrow, winding streets are lined with traditional Georgian houses featuring wooden balconies, many of which are adorned with intricate carvings and vibrant colors. The area is named after the nearby Betlemi Church, which is a key religious site for both locals and visitors. This neighborhood is known for its peaceful, almost timeless atmosphere, offering stunning views of the city from its higher vantage points. The streets are steep and often lead to hidden courtyards and small squares that capture the old-world charm of Tbilisi. Betlemi Street is also a cultural hotspot, where art galleries, cafes, and boutique shops sit alongside historical landmarks, creating a unique blend of tradition and modernity. Visitors strolling through this area experience the essence of Tbilisi's past while being surrounded by the lively spirit of the present.

Malbork Castle, Zamek w Malborku

The Castle of the Teutonic Order in Malbork is a 13th-century Teutonic castle and fortress located near the town of Malbork, Poland. It is the largest castle in the world measured by land area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wikipedia

It was originally constructed by the Teutonic Knights, a German Catholic religious order of crusaders, in a form of an Ordensburg fortress. The Order named it Marienburg in honour of Mary, mother of Jesus. In 1457, it since served as one of the several Polish royal residences and the seat of Polish offices and institutions to 1772. From then on the castle was under German rule for over 170 years until 1945.

The castle is a classic example of a medieval fortress and, on its completion in 1406, was the world's largest brick castle. UNESCO designated the "Castle of the Teutonic Order in Malbork" and the Malbork Castle Museum a World Heritage Site in December 1997. It is one of two World Heritage Sites in the region (north-central Poland), together with the "Medieval Town of Toruń", which was founded in 1231.

Malbork Castle is also one of Poland's official national Historic Monuments (Pomnik historii), as designated on 16 September 1994. Its listing is maintained by the National Heritage Board of Poland.

With the rise of Adolf Hitler to power in the early 1930s, the Nazis used the castle as a destination for annual pilgrimages of both the Hitler Youth and the League of German Girls. The Teutonic Castle at Marienburg served as a blueprint for the Order Castles of the Third Reich built under Hitler's reign. In 1945 during World War II combat in the area, more than half the castle was destroyed. At the conclusion of the war, the city of Malbork and the castle became again part of Poland. The castle has been mostly reconstructed, with restoration ongoing since 1962. A new restoration was completed in April 2016. Malbork Castle remains the largest brick complex in Europe.

The First Baptist Church is a landmark of downtown Fort Lauderdale. This mid-century church, built in a style typical of Anglican Baptist churches, was recently renovated and expanded to include several community centers, including a great Student Life Center. Christmas is a favorite time for family visits to the church because of its annual pageant, which has been held every year since 1983. The church is also known for its spectacular Easter and Christmas community concerts.

First Baptist Fort Lauderdale is a church in South Florida led by Lead Pastor James Welch and his wife Amy. The church gathers at our 7-acre treasure right in the heart of the city!

First Baptist Fort Lauderdale has a rich and inspiring story built around the “Jesus First life.” The story began in 1907 when a handful of people had a dream to help their friends know God and discover their purpose in life. They believed the church was more than a building you come to, it was designed to be a community that you belong to. When the church first started gathering and serving its neighbors the city of Fort Lauderdale was not yet incorporated.

We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, which means we cooperate and collaborate with more than 40,000 other SBC churches to bring healing to those who are hurting through education, disaster relief, humanitarian aid, missionary immersion and so much more.

The St. Anthony of Padua Church or simply Church of St. Anthony, is a religious building of the Catholic church located on Yefet Street in Jaffa, the southwestern district of the city of Tel Aviv in central Israel.

The temple stands out for its Gothic Revival style and its clock tower. It was named in honor of St. Anthony of Padua a priest of the Franciscan Order, Portuguese preacher and theologian, venerated as a saint and Doctor of the Church by Catholicism.

The structure was completed in 1932. On the north side of the church is the Terra Sancta high school.

I awoke early to watch Mrs. Wang and her husband make silken tofu and soy milk, similar to the way the Mr. Mok made his silken tofu dessert on Lantau island in Hong Kong, but without the help of machinery.

The couple used to live up in the mountains before the earthquake forced them to move into the refugee settlement area in Yingxiu. They started to make tofu in the settlement to earn a meagre living.

Mrs. Wang performs her Buddhist prayers every morning before starting her daily tofu making routine.
