The Ontario Legislature, also known as the Ontario Legislative Building, is the building that houses the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in Toronto, Ontario. The building sits in the middle of Queen's Park, south of Wellesley Street, on the former site of King's College (which later became the University of Toronto). The land is leased from the university to the province on a 999-year term, for a peppercorn payment of $1 per annum. The building, and by extension the provincial government, are frequently referred to as "Queen's Park".
Designed by architect Richard A. Waite, the five-storey building, completed in 1893, was constructed of pink-hued Ontario sandstone. Waite employed the Richardsonian Romanesque style, taking advantage of the iron frame construction to devote an uncharacteristically large area to windows. One tower was originally intended to hold a clock, but it was never installed and a rose window was built instead.
I made this panorama by shooting 18 images as six sets of three (exposure-bracketed +/- 2 ev), then running them through Hugin. I let Hugin pick the alignment points between images, but hand-selected horizontal and vertical lines. I decided to use High Dynamic Range because the snow was so bright and I didn’t want to lose the details there (even if they were mostly footprints)—this is the output produced by enfuse.
This is a rectilinear projection. The statues to the side are noticably distorted, but the legislative building itself looks quite nice.

The most reliable sources state that Gruffydd Maelor II, son of Madog ap Gruffydd Maelor I, began the castle in the late 1260's. The elder Madog founded nearby Valle Crucis Abbey, where both men were buried. Some references offer an earlier date for the castle, placing it in the 1230's, when Madog would have been alive and, therefore, its builder. Regardless of whom actually erected the buildings that now survive in ruin, they were part of the last building effort at Dinas Bran. Incredibly, assuming the later date to be most accurate, the Welsh princes only occupied the site for two decades.
During those final two decades, the castle on the hilltop became a prized possession of the princes of Powys Fadog. Dinas Bran's power did not go unnoticed by English forces. In 1277, during Edward I's initial foray into Wales, the Earl of Lincoln, Henry de Lacy, besieged the castle. The Welsh lord of Dinas Bran was forced to submit to the invading army, which promptly set the site afire, completely destroying it.
A second test film Iford HP5+ with my Topcon Super D SLR camera produced in Tokyo, Japan, 1972.
After the under exposition of the first test film, the exposures were determined more carefully using the 10° finder of my Minolta Autometer III and 400 ISO privileging the shadow or darker zones. The Topcon system was was corrected by 1EV setting the ISO at 200 to get similar values on the 18% gray chart. The film was developed as before using Ilford Ilfosol 3 at dilution 1+9 for 6min30 at 20°C.

After process the film was digitalized using a Sony A7 body and a Minolta Slide Duplicator with a Minolta Auto Bellows III with a lens Minolta Bellow Macro Rokkor 50mm f/3.5.
About the camera: Tokyo Kogaku company (Topcon) produced SLR camera's and lenses until 1976 before giving up producing camera. The company continued its activities in opticals and still exists today for medical (ophthalmology) instruments and topography.
The Topcon SLR's were considered as particularly reliable, constructeur as the best scientific instruments of that time. The "Super D" has a exchangeable finders and could be motorized without modifications making them direct competitors of the Nikon F's (Nikon F2 at this time en 1972).
The camera was sold to me in March 2022 with the normal lens Tokyo Kogaku RE Auto Topcor 1:1.8 f=58 mm and a Canon bag to host the camera. The photometric system is functional and uses a CdS located on reflex mirror as the Miranda EE.
It replaced my Nikon D40 and I have been using it since and now it has decent place in the family of cameras I have.

The Auckland container terminal was suffering long delays resulting in ships waiting up to 21 days for a berth. Some ships diverted to Whangarei about 120kms north. Unfort there is no rail link and as she discharged 1350 containers this resulted in around 1000 truck moves back down to Auckland. Here are some shots of these trucks.
