This photo was taken inside the Great Room of the Famous Ahwahnee Hotel on the Yosemite floor. Notice the many guest and visitors seating around and enjoying the warmth of the large fireplace just relaxing reading books or working and/or playing on their laptop computers. Taken on 1-3-2015.
This antelope was just sitting around and relaxed. I tried out some different angles to get a good shot of the antelope. What I liked here very much is playing with the focus and the dof.
I just found out some facts about the zoo in Frankfurt. It was founded in 1858 and is the second oldest in Germany. According to wikipedia, the zoo features over 5,000 animals of more than 600 species.
But in comparison to other zoos that I visited it is very small. You can walk through in a very short time. I remember the San Diego zoo that I visited last year which was more than three times as big as the one in Frankfurt. But I like it, that it is smaller. You can give yourself more time to watch those animals.
Have a great day everybody!
I wrote a Blogpost on my webpage with more images also. I wrote the article in German, but I think Google does a good job in translating now.

Being a collectible action figure provides several privileges. You will be treated with the utmost respect, admired for your qualities and there are good chances you will start a modeling or acting career.
Such condition also brings some drawbacks and one of them is you will not enjoy the outdoors very often. Collectors are very protective and bringing action figures outdoor is more risky than bringing Lego Minifigures. The bigger size makes them more susceptible to “gravity issues” when posing; then add presence of more delicate or detachable parts, the different painting techniques and so on.
However nothing is set in stone and when the conditions are optimal even collectible action figures have their chances to enjoy the outdoors. That’s what Bandai ShFiguarts Yuki Mori (from Space Battleship Yamato series) did when she spent few relaxing moments surrounded by beautiful flowers.
I hope you enjoy the visuals of this outdoor portrait :)
Man is so made that he can only find relaxation from one kind of labor by taking up another.Anatole France (1844 - 1924)
Hi! If you are planning to use my photographs for personal or public use then stop this now as i wont allow it ,I work hard with my photographs and I hope you respect my work and my thoughts
In our building we have a day room. We have a tv, dvd player, desktop computer and a cooler filled with water here. Its a place to relax and think about things. When I am deployed I think of all kinds of things. How much money I will save, what all I will get accomplished, how I will look after working out in the gym, if anyone will be there to greet me when I get back, just all kinds of things. You do the same job for 6 days a weeks at 12 hours a day. When you not at work you doing something to unwind. Some people workout, some watch movies, and some drink beer. Yes you can drink beer here but it is only 2 beers every 20 hours. I find myself wanting a girlfriend to come back or even a wife. I see how sad married couples are when their significant other leaves and I see how happy and excited they are when they come back. I have never come home to a wife of course and not even a girlfriend. I mean even coming home and having parents there would even mean something but everytime I leave alone and everytime I come back alone. Anyway enough of my high horse on that, my point is thinking about things is something I do a lot more while deployed. I find my life lacks quite a lot here. I stay more active and do more things deployed then when I am back home. I wonder if that is because there is a lot of stuff you can do here...i dont know. I think that goes for a lot people to.
Valentines Day is coming up and I have one person I am getting something for. I have been thinking a lot about that person and a million different thought cross my mind. I keep most of them to myself.
When I went into work tonight I looked up at the stars and wondered what people think about when they look at them. To me they look peaceful and nice. Whenever I am stressed out or feeling down, looking at the stars always seems to make me feel better. Helps to clear my head. When was the last time you spent more the 5 minutes looking at the stars. It really is quite relaxing. I used to sit back and look at the stars in a field when I was younger. I even used a telescope to look at them up close. If ever you feel stress or down...just go out at night and look at the stars awhile.
I leave you with this...Don't let your brain make all your choices...sometimes it is good to listen to you heart. Remember that God is always listening with his heart to help you.
