Meet Eisen. 19 days after Volgy passed away my siblings suprised me with a Labrador puppy. He's now 11 months old and I have tons of pictures waiting to be posted. He's now officially my Eisen Bebeh Kish Kish (mwah, mwah).
Would you believe at first I rejected the dog? My heart was still grieving for Volgy when all of a sudden, without consultation, my brothers and sis, bought me new dog thinking it will keep me from going nuts! Haha.
Rejection? I had my reasons: 1) he was bought from a kennel - I was for adoption, 2) he seemed tiny for a lab pup, 3) the price was way too much in my opinion, and 4) for that price, i had my doubts if Eisen was purebred at all.
Since Volgy came I've been researching about his breed. I found that there are two kinds of Labs, show Labs and field Labs and Volgy was a Show Lab (stocky). Lab tails are otter-like, straight and not curling up. Its also thick at the base and tapering at the end. Eisen's tail was crooked, as if someone broke it to make it look straight and his tail was thin at the base and fat and shaggy at the end. Also, Eisen looked pretty small for a Lab.
We had Eisen checked by two vets. The first vet said she had her doubts too. The second vet was from the clinic where I got Volgy. He said Volgy was a true Lab only that he is small-boned.
That broke the bad vibes and I began telling myself "Appreciate! It is a gift!"
And so our adventure together begins.
Fear of rejection is what keeps me from being able to easily ask someone if I can take their picture. It is not a rational fear like being afraid of spiders. On the other hand, it is much more likely to happen than a spider planting eggs under your skin.
Rejection is so personal. You are not good enough. You are not worth my time. I don't care about you. There is no way to sugar coat it and there is no medicine to cure it (not even my crazy pills!). And it hurts in a way that spiders cant.

Here are some shots/videos of our “Rejection of Toxic Injection” protest today at North Lima, Ohio. This injection well operated by Bobcat Energy has poisoned mother earth with over 70 million gallons of toxic fracking waste since 2015.
During our two-hour protest at least five truck loads of toxic fracking waste from Pennsylvania and Ohio entered the site, a corporate crime scene, and deposited their carcinogenic and toxic waste.
Haley Fleming - This door represents both rejection and acceptance. I was assigned to live in this room of my sorority house with a girl who had openly made homophobic comments, not only towards myself but towards others as well. Thankfully I had been able to switch my roommates because another sister who had hardly known me offered to switch places in order for me to live comfortably. Due to her switching rooms, I was not only taken out of an awkward situation, but gained a great friend from this experience.
We bonded over very personal things about each other, as well as she went out of her way to ask me questions in order to educate herself more on the LGBT community that she knew little about. The other girl had still lived in the house and we had a distance between us, but this situation was the first time I had been directly affected by people's ignorance.
I was thrown into a situation where people knew it'd be an uncomfortable situation, yet they did it anyways. However, this also shows that despite people's ignorance, a situation like this can bring out the open-mindedness of others.

Protest at the administrative offices of Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Burlington, MA to demand a moratorium on deportations and ICE’s rejection of the applications for 287(g) agreements from the Sheriff Departments of Essex and Plymouth counties. If signed, organizers believe the agreement would increase the number of immigrant families being destroyed by deportation.
According to organizers between 2005 and 2010, 87% of cases involving undocumented immigrants with U.S. citizen children ended in deportation. Of all children in U.S. public schools, 6.9% are children of undocumented parents and 82% of those children are U.S. citizens. The Congressional mandate that sets a bed quota requiring Immigration and Customs Enforcement to detain 34,000 undocumented immigrants on any given night fuels the destruction of immigrant families. ICE is the only law enforcement agency that is subject to a national quota system for incarceration.
