Do you remember your dreams?

Most of the time, I do. Last nights dream was about a situation where I was left out, not included. Unknowingly, lately I have been given some thought to this. It's a worry when you're in your youth... everybody wants to feel included and accepted. In my dream last night, I experienced the very real feelings of being excluded - rejection, worry, disappointment, embarrassment... but the end result was that I was ok with it. An acceptance.

As I think about it in the light of day, in reality, I am ok with being left out. I don't need to be included in a group because I'm not liked, I'm a little different. I've matured into the realization that it's ok to not be the same as everybody else. I like myself for who I am. And for those that don't want to know me or see me for who I am, to not include me in the group...

They're the Ones Missing Out

So.

1.I'm scared of rejection. From anyone.

2.I run away from girls, they're scary, cause drama, and super critical.

3.I'd rather have guy friends than girls.

4.I used to read at the lunch tables instead of jumping in on the conversation cause I always believe that my say doesn't count.

5.I observe everything, which is why I know tons of things that no one else does.

6. I also know lots because I don't tell secrets.

7.I trust few people.

8.I'm to shy to make any real friends...it hurts.

9.I'm quirky, dorky, and slightly nerdy(when it comes to reading.)

10.I'm looked down on ALOT.

11.I'll never be the skinny popular girl who has everything she wants, but I hope I'll still be happy.

12.I've never gotten roses.

13.I hate Valentines Day, but hopefully Colton can fix that.

14.I love dancing, to shy to do so though.

15.Please talk to me?I'd love to talk to you, I'm just to shy to start:(

16.I'm in a lot of awkward situations.

17.I should be nocturnal.

18.I hate when people misspell things.

19.I don't think before I speak.

20.I speak my mind.

P.S

I'm very uninspired today.

Protest at the administrative offices of Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Burlington, MA to demand a moratorium on deportations and ICE’s rejection of the applications for 287(g) agreements from the Sheriff Departments of Essex and Plymouth counties. If signed, organizers believe the agreement would increase the number of immigrant families being destroyed by deportation.

According to organizers between 2005 and 2010, 87% of cases involving undocumented immigrants with U.S. citizen children ended in deportation. Of all children in U.S. public schools, 6.9% are children of undocumented parents and 82% of those children are U.S. citizens. The Congressional mandate that sets a bed quota requiring Immigration and Customs Enforcement to detain 34,000 undocumented immigrants on any given night fuels the destruction of immigrant families. ICE is the only law enforcement agency that is subject to a national quota system for incarceration.

Planned Parenthood’s rejection of a White House offer to maintain federal funding if it drops its abortion business demonstrates how important the lethal procedure is to the organization, Southern Baptist leaders said.

I just read that the yellow carnation can mean rejection or refusal? Wow, pretty harsh huh? LOL!

Been there. Done that. But I like the way my lips look, so I kept it as a reject.

Scouting for a place for lunch we spotted a parking lot full of Harleys so of course we headed in. Shot some pool, ate cheesesteak and fries and listened to a band. The gathering was very well-behaved - must have been "city" Harleys!

i have fair skin which means sensitive skin so this is now gone.

After a rejection in the morning, I almost didn't go out and try again. So glad I did though! I spotted Glenn as soon as I got to the 'place'.

He was sat reading a book that looked interesting (forgot to ask the title!) and would occasionally look up to watch the world go by. It took more than 10 minutes for me to work up the courage to speak to him! I'm so glad I finally did! I liked the juxtaposition of the beard and hair. There was a reddish tinge to the beard, while the hair was dark. That and the cool (purplish) sunglasses

He had come down to visit his family and stopped in London for the day. Glenn, thank you (once again) so much for being so nice :)

I was so excited about taking his photo that I rushed and didn't think about the background!!!

Little sparks before winter takes over, and the green pine monochrome is the only colour left. This season was a quick rejection, every storm of wind and rain, trying hard to hurry the coming cold. Haven't I shivered enough for you? These wild walks are heavy and quiet, a whisper if you ever want it. I can hear the Round Hill River running, overflowing between yesterday's downpour and tomorrow's drizzle. Autumn fizzles out, like a raindrop on a matchhead, a smoky something in the wet woods. I keep walking for the answer, what's after the corner, down the corridor of trees? I've been this way before, but the mystery still moves me as much. Mill Road with no mill, a forest path with little traffic, my favorite disappearing act.

From the Louvre's webpage:

"Hermaphroditos, son of Hermes and Aphrodite, had rejected the advances of the nymph Salmacis. Unable to resign herself to this rejection, Salmacis persuaded Zeus to merge their two bodies forever, hence the strange union producing one bisexed being with male sexual organs and the voluptuous curves of a woman. Stretched out in erotic abandon on the mattress provided by Bernini, the figure sleeps. Yet Hermaphroditos has only fallen half asleep: the twisting pose of the body and the tension apparent down to the slightly raised left foot are indicative of a dream state."

This is one of my favourites cause if you get it, it makes alot of sense.

I had my first rejection yesterday, so was keen to ask someone else. This is Sam, he was doing some street art in Canterbury when I approached him. I'm pleased to say he was happy to participate, especially as I explained it's about talking to strangers not just photos. We chatted a while about how sad it is that we as humans interact virtually and sometimes never even meet "friends" in real life. (The irony of posting this online is not lost on me.)

The other shot I took of him shows a sadder image, and to me, doesn't reflect the happiness I saw in his eyes. I've posted it to my stream as perhaps the other side of a story. Thank you Sam.

Does this mean it's over?

Despite the rejection that cause at first sight, there is no denying the beauty of this vulture, the smallest present in Chile.

In the group there are birds of different ages. Adults are back, and in the foreground two birds still immature.

Frightened by a passing Japanese tourist Harry decided tap dancing for a living might not be such a good idea and took up aerial gymnastics instead. The trouble was his audience ignored him believing his artistic performance was what all gulls did... unable to take any more he left Durham and joined a Bhuddist commune in Wales.

Ozzy Osbourne rejection letter.

Back in 1994, I was in a heavy metal intrumental band. Ozzy had a competition looking for a "band"; so we sent in our demo tape. This letter was the end result. I'm still pissed off we didn't get the gig; because I thought our band kicked ass. We just needed a killer 'vocalist' - like Ozzy Osbourne!

We called our band Outcast at that time. It seemed like we were always finding out - our latest cool band name was already taken... To this day I'm still trying to think of awesome band names. It's a fun game to play.

Scan of a photocopy made in 1994...

"Rejected"

"He took the two day entrance exam for the academy's school of painting. Confident and self assured, he awaited the result, quite sure he would get in. But failure struck him like a bolt of lightning. His test drawings were judged unsatisfactory and he was not admitted. Badly shaken by this rejection, he went back to the academy to get an explanation and was told his drawings showed a lack of talent for artistic painting, notably a lack of appreciation of the human form.

One year later, In October, he tried for the second time to gain admission to the Academy of Fine Arts. However, his test drawings were judged as so poor that he was not even allowed to take the formal exam. It was a bitter disappointment and effectively left him on the outside looking in at the artistic community..."

The former aspiring artist went on to become one of the most notorious mass murderers in the history of civilization.

medievalpoc: Fiction Week! Silver Phoenix by Cindy Pon On the day of her first betrothal meeting–and rejection–Ai Ling discovers a power welling deep within her. She can reach into other people’s spirits, hear their thoughts, see their dreams…and that’s just the beginning. Ai Ling has been marked by the immortals; her destiny lies in the emperor’s palace, where a terrible evil has lived, stealing souls, for centuries. She must conquer this enemy and rescue her captive father, while mythical demons track her every step. And then she meets Chen Yong, a young man with a quest of his own, whose fate is intertwined with hers. Here is a heart-stopping, breathtaking tale for fans of action, fantasy, and romance–of anything with the making of legend. Read the first 70 pages here Anonymous submission of critical reviews: Re: Silver Phoenix, I know Cindy and cannot cope with the backlash if I say what I think of the book. (Let alone the prequel where her main character is a rapist) If you are - I agree with these reviews, though I think some are too kind: wildunicornherd.tumblr.com/post/4836731591 (none of the linked posts seem to still exist. A lot of negative reviews of Pon have just vanished. I am really wondering about this.) pagesofstarlight.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/review-silver-pho... anitactruong.booklikes.com/post/914285/reading-progress-u... hiddeninpages.com/2013/02/01/review-the-silver-phoenix-be... I’m… disturbed by the number of reviews I know I’ve seen that are no longer there, including by Chinese people talking about how incredibly superficial and white gazey Pon’s China is. :/ But this is what I *could* find. I hope that readers understand that posting a book for Fiction Week isn’t equivalent to a unqualified endorsement of a specific work. After all, I’ve made it clear that interacting with media critically, or at least, awarely, is always preferable.

Ben's acting debut at Oglebay. We made him pretend to be a sad dog delivering a sad message (or something!) to the Oglebay Mansion. This is probably the servants' door, so maybe Ben is the servant's pooch?

Doesn't he look dejected, coming down the stone steps with those cute little collie paws?

Make up your own story! I'd love to hear it.

Jenna just celebrated her 3rd kidneyversary, but unfortunately is having a rejection episode. She felt ok but it was detected in routine labs. Over the last 4 weeks she was hospitalized several times and received large doses of steroids, ATG and IVIG at Scripps Green. We have a great deal of confidence in their team and just got a call from the doctor. He said that since we didn't see improvement in the kidney function by now, it is unlikely that Jenna would recover any additional function. It means she will eventually need dialysis or a transplant as her function will decline over time, and it is impossible to predict how long it could take. She gave a good fight, going through every treatment recommended to her. She now will be getting more treatments, not to rescue the kidney, but to lower her antibody level so that she can be eligible for another transplant in the future, if possible.

On a positive note, I spoke with her living donor Patrice, who is doing great. She is scheduled to run the Boston Marathon again in April and a tri-athalon in July. I know this news is tough on her too, but she's an amazing support person and we are most grateful for the gift that gave Jenna the best 3 years she's had since being diagnosed at 15 years old.

Sorry for the lack of posts. I've been reeling on the brink of melancholy this past week. I'll just say this: rejection stinks. And i've begun second-guessing myself and all of my pictures.

Oh well.

Rejection Poor Lighting ( High Sun )..

ABHINAYA PERFORMANCE by GEETA CHANDRAN

exploring emotions - anger, jealousy, humour, rejection...

This poor lady was trying to get on the Tram but the driver closed the door in her face and hurried away...I guess he didn't find her attractive enough, usually they'll wait up to 2 minutes if they see a pretty girl coming towards their vehicle, even if that particular girl doesn't want to get on...strange days!

She said no to pork chop, wtf?
