Continuing with a selection of waterfall images from the archive ... A wonderful falls, I visited over 10 years ago. Access on private land now restricted as I understand, marked "No Trespassing"
I considered the value of the colors in the composition while letting go of most of the original color.
A reimagining of the Oni and the Dragon, creatures that inhabit the first realm and play a central role in the lineage of the Green Ninja. Built for celebrating the 10th anniversary of Ninjago - hard to believe it's been that long!

An old shot I took of the Galata Tower more than a year ago, employing motion blur effect that I found in some photography blogs.
Winter ReImagined, with butterflies... it would be right up my 'alley'! Tower Hill Botanic Garden, Boylston, MA.
A pair of rebuilt Canadian National GP9RM units, the 4121 and 4119, do work at the Cobourg ON yard on 26 March 1993. Chopping of the high hood and other alterations have robbed the Geeps of their classic original appearance, but have given new life to these first generation workhorses that see several of them continuing to serve in the present day.
First time using Topaz Studio 2. I don't expect to use it very often. Awkward in my workflow. But, can't argue with free!
Kitengela Glass Mission
We recycle and reimagine waste into objects and experiences that have a future, serve a function, and spark joy. We’re here to embed glassmaking as a living African craft — rooted in this place, speaking a global language of beauty, resilience, and innovation.
Happy Friday! Heres a few designs i came up with this week.
Penguin: gangster torso, tarkin hair, harry potter owls. I gave him the foil because I thought it suited him. I wanted to use the TLBM penguin coat fur piece, but it didn't fit :(
Joker: Nexo Knights head, exo-force hair, crazy scientist hair, BA machete. I like this combo, kinda brings out the wacky circus/entertainer look i think joker needs.
Batman: tlbm head, maleficent cape, tdk torso. i really like the purple outline this cape gives. i would've liked to add some vambraces, but i didn't have any. i think he looks fine without them though.
Two-Face: Now heres the real reason i made this photo. I got the 2012 head and torso at BrickFair, and I was wondering how to use them and i came up with this; i'm really proud of it. the mask is from MBW. The only thing i would add is a sack, to top off that bank robber look, but i don't have one.
Catwoman: I really like this head hair combo- i think it works great for her. torso is modified mighty micros. and i finally found a figure to use my fingerless gloves on!
Let me know what you think!

My esteemed peer Jerry Builds Bricks launched a genius idea over on Instagram to take any small scale set from the 70's, 80's or 90's and reimagine it in a 2020 style.
Given that small-scale builds are kind of my trademark, it seemed a great opportunity to have some lockdown fun. I also thought it would be a nice touch to build it from parts I already have, rather than buy anything in.
In keeping with many of my builds, this is more a static piece, rather than a playable toy (sorry....), but to further reflect the original, it does feature 'poseable' front suspension. Check my Instagram post for some additional shots!

I deleted a ton of photos I had posted throughout the years. I called that The Purge. The main reason was that I was going to leave flickr, but in the last moment decided to stick around at least one more year. I'm slowly reposting some of them after playing with them a little more in post.
At its heart Carrabelle is still the same sleepy little fishing village it was 60 years ago, but today there is much more to Carrabelle than fishing; there is a thriving art community and a nice gallery, two museums, and a lively bit of nightlife.
I processed this picture in Photoshop and textured it with three textures that were much modified from the ones I purchased.
I thought that Ripley did OK but fell short of stopping the franchise in its tracks so it was about time she made way for a real professional. Somehow though, now that I am here it does not seem quite so easy.
I have been looking for ages and I can't even find one of those ruddy Aliens anywhere. Perhaps she did a better job of wiping them out than I had thought?
After a while, you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul. You learn
that love doesn’t mean leaning,
and company doesn’t always mean security. And you begin to learn that kisses aren’t contracts, that presents aren’t promises; and you begin to accept your defeats with your head up, and your eyes ahead - with the grace of woman, not the grief of a child. You learn to build all your roads on today, because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain for plans, and futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight.
After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much. So you plant your own garden, and decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
You learn that you really can endure.
That you really are strong.
That you really do have worth.
And you learn,
and you learn,
with every goodbye, you learn. - Veronica Shoffstall

This whole day was amazing! I wanted to do my take on "Cupid, Reimagined" in this shot. I wanted to show Cupid as someone who, instead of shooting lovers down, collects flowers and teaches people to be the right person to themselves first - not a prerequisite for "love" per se, but certainly for a deep and long-standing love.
