People in the Pacific Northwest are absolute FANATICS about recycling! They have multiple containers for every type of "garbage"! These containers are on the ferry boat going between Victoria, BC and WA State.

Daoud told us: "We refuse to be enemies... nobody can make change for us, we have to do it ourselves." He and his family strive to break down stereotypes and inform Israelis of the land situation in this part of the West Bank. They are Palestinian Christians.
Israel expropiated the Nassar Farm as state land in 1991. They presented their land title to a military court. The case has been in the Israeli supreme court since 2002, costing the Nassars over $140,000 so far.
Daoud's grandfather acquired this land in 1916 under the Ottomans. His father's dream was to unite people in a farming project. Daoud initiated the Tent of Nations in 2001 by inviting intl volunteers to come work on the farm. The farm occupies the only hill in area w/out Israeli settlement and they must bring water in or collect rain.
Israeli settlers have uprooted trees, damaged water tanks, made armed threats, and built roads on the land. Demolition orders have been issued for volunteers' tents.

Simplemente, no creÃa tener las aptitudes necesarias. No obstante, su actitud perseverante y su habilidad en los idiomas le ayudaron a conseguir el empleo. En la actualidad compagina su trabajo con los estudios de perfeccionamiento de castellano, catalán e inglés, sus lenguas maternas son el francés i el árabe. Y quiere seguir formándose. En el tiempo que le queda estudia Derecho. La suerte debe encontrarte currando y, ahora que sabe lo que significa trabajar en algo que gratificante, no le va a coger desprevenido.

After my hotel refused to do my laundry (I put it in the provided bag and left it on my bed as instructed - at the end of the day I came home to a clean room and fresh bed with the unopened bag sitting neatly in the middle) I took it down the street to Harlequin Express, who did a fantastic job for only a few pounds. I proceeded to use them for all my laundry needs for the remainder of my stay.
The final time I used them they did manage to lose my pajama bottoms (presumably somewhere in the webway), but hey, nobody's perfect.
