The Historic Commercial Vehicles Society's London-Brighton run stopped off at the Broadfield Stadium.

Such care has been given to these vehicles - even the rubbish truck shines.

The intense interior ailing caused by a refused proposal can be felt by those who went through it only. It's just not the flowers thrown away, it's the heart thrown hard at the stones.. Let love not be misjudged; May true proposals always end up in joy..

Council workmen carrying out roadside recycling on Maendy Way. They are often maligned, sometimes with justification, but at great personal risk to themselves, they continue to provide an essential service to the public.

Actually, this image highlights a fatal flaw in the roadside recycling system. Maendy Way at this point is strangled by large numbers of parked vehicles, exacerbated by traffic calming “pinchguts”. This is then aggravated by a large refuse lorry stop-starting as workmen fetch boxes to it, then start pigeonholing various items of rubbish. Often, frustrated drivers can only edge forward as the recycling lorry creeps along a narrow street. Far better to have a wheelie bin for all recyclables, dump it in the truck, then sort it all out in a hangar at a depot.

No they are not changing the colour or the logo again. This is a demonstration vehicle that WLDC have been trying out. Note the extra axle, this one has a payload of 16.54 tonnes against the 11.3 tonnes that the 3 axle vehicles can carry. This image was taken from off the Trent Bank at Gainsborough.

A strange request.

This lady came out of nowhere and said that she wanted to kiss my bald head. Who am I to refuse? The only stipulation I had, was that I wanted a picture of it.

The litter is everywhere and is the prime reason for poor sanitation in the city. It is difficult for a traveller not to pick up some germ or other and not be sick for a couple of days. We never saw a garbage truck - only in Kathmandu, Nepal.

These refuse trucks keep breeding, must hide under the bed.
