A Typhoon FGR4 from 1 (Fighter) Squadron based at RAF Lossiemouth Scotland refuels from a Voyager tanker aircraft en-route to the USA for Exercise Red Flag. The multi-national exercise is the largest and most complex air war fighting exercise in the World.

You know how it is girls you spend all morning going around the shops looking for bargains and for that one item that just has to be bought, and then you realise you're running out of steam. Well after a hectic few hours Helen, Gill and I decided it was time to refuel so we tried out this Giraffe restaurant where the very friendly waiter took this picture. It will be straight back to the shops afterwards though.
Heute nach langer Zeit mal wieder unter 1,70 Euro (genauer Einsachtundsechzigneun) getankt. Sowas kennt man gar nicht mehr.....
After a long time, I refueled below 1.70 Euro (exactly one sixty-nine) again. You don't even know that anymore.....

Side by side northbounds at Ferromex's Romo yard in Aguascalientes are awaiting departure. The BNSF trio are soon to be authorized by dispatch, while the ground crew are about to unscrew the gas caps on 4696 and its trailing BNSF for a quick splash and dash.

While I seem to encounter an abundance of female and juvenile Anna's hummingbirds feeding at these flowers, I haven't had as many chances at getting the males. They are all either surveying their territories from certain perches or doing their flashy aerial acrobatics. The few times I have seen them feed, they linger for a second, then off they go, or I've screwed up.
Finally, I managed to get one of these guys refueling. He needs all the energy for those looping dives I see him make!
The white background is that of a painted door. Can't do anything about that, I'm afraid!
