In my city, sometimes we have birds dragging up the water from fountains ;)
I came across this thirsty crow today, walking through the park. I noticed its funny and highly unusual maneuvers around this fountain. Luckily I had the tele mounted...
The statue/fountain is called "The boy on the Swan" and is located in Kongens Have (Kings Garden) in the heart of Copenhagen.

on my way home from a bike ride i stopped by this roadside store for a cold drink of fresh coconut juice. these small roadside stores are very popular with truckers and the transient motorists wanting to take a break from their long ride or rest from traffic. they serve the usual sandwiches or some local delicacies such as turon, banana-Q or camote-Q. their ice cold fresh coconut juice is also fantastic.

Oscar was found in the searing heat of my loft the other day.and it occurred to me that I could photograph a subject that I vowed I would never do.
Up until now I could never understand why photographers used Leggo folk as their subject. The idea of combining a 'no no' in my mind with this weeks Macro Monday was too tempting to resist. Funny how you stumble across the answer to life's many mysteries!
I don't know his real name but I suspect Oscar fits him perfectly, he seems quite happy offering his refreshments as the UK bakes in searing heat for an extended period.
The pier lights come on as the sun sinks, and twilight envelopes the seafront
And it's about time I uploaded some colour too!
The new beverage area is in the same location as the Holiday Ham version, but was completely redone Coca-Cola style during the Hardee's remodel. This must account for the "refreshments" sign overhead looking exactly like those seen in modern day McDonald's restaurants. Overall, the new décor throughout the interior was very reminiscent of McD's for that matter, with a bit of modern Chick-fil-A styling thrown in for good measure!

Don't forget to rehydrate often this summer. I can't begin to describe the dire consequences if you do not. Do yourself a favor, and those around you as well to drink up! Kampai!

It seems amazing that last weekend was warm - this is the beginning of the second bank holiday weekend we have in May and today has been described like a good, warmer than expected January day! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Ben, Abby, Elsie and Rachel who will be in Scotland for the half-term holiday week . . .
