After a heartwarming Outreach Program with the kids of Tanay, Rizal.. the group headed for the famous view decks/grills in Antipolo, overlooking the cityscapes of Manila. We ended up on the 3rd level of Eagle's Nest for some refreshments and sunset captures.... this is one of them.
on Explore!... thank you all!
The building you see closer to the riverside path is Pryors Bank Pavilion. It is an attractive mock Tudor pavilion, formerly a refreshments house, located by Putney Bridge and sitting just inside the gates of Bishop’s Park. It is leased from the council by All Saints Church, which is adjacent, and the Church offices are on the first floor of the building. The ground floor of this pavilion is available for hire from 9am – 4pm Monday – Friday. All Saints Church are able to offer to charities and voluntary sector groups at little or no cost and offers the following amenities which can be hired/borrowed as a whole or separately. It has disabled access. All users have access to two loos (one disabled) and a front lobby for storage of coats ( not valuables).
The church:
The building and its churchyard are situated next to Bishop's Park, overlooking the River Thames. The church has a long association with the bishops of London as lords of the manor of Fulham, and is the burial place for many of them. The nearby Fulham Palace is the former manor of Fulham and the former residence of the bishops of London.
Putney Bridge, like its predecessor Fulham Bridge, is unique in that it is the only bridge in Britain to have a church at both ends: the ancient St Mary's Church is located in Putney on the south bank, and All Saints' Church, Fulham on the North bank
For MACRO MONDAYS, this week’s theme: “Refreshments"
HMM!!!
♥ Thank you very much for your visits, faves, and kind comments ♥
This group of geese got out of the water and walked right up the beach toward the concession stand. I hated to tell them that the stand is closed and even the machines are gone for the season too.
Thanks a lot to all my flickr member friends for visiting, All faves and comments are much appreciated!
Trotters, North Dakota
A scene that seems post apocalyptic.
Interestingly there are still quite a few things that would be used to serve refreshments down in the basement. I don't believe the church has been used in many years, yet it appears much the same as when they had their last service. There are a number of dead birds within, and birds have left a lot of deposits. They just don't have any respect.
Wikipedia:
Trotters is an unincorporated community in Golden Valley County, North Dakota, United States. Trotters is located on North Dakota Highway 16, 28.3 miles (45.5 km) north of Beach. The community did not receive telephone service until 1972, and Highway 16, its only road, was paved in the 1980s.
Leonard Hall, who moved to Trotters in 1956, was the town's only resident for much of the twentieth century. Hall was the postmaster of the Trotters post office, which opened in 1904[3] and served area ranchers as far as 28 miles (45 km) away from Trotters, as few other post offices operated in the region.[5] The post office also served as the town's grocery store and gas station, and Hall lived in the back of the building. Two other buildings, a disused church and an empty abandoned structure, also stood in the town.[6] The post office closed in 1995 when Hall's poor health caused him to retire as postmaster.
Organ, New Mexico, an unincorporated former mining community near Las Cruces. The population was 242 as of 2020. I did not see a soul during my brief stop there.
Thank you for visiting!
Yes!!! You are urgently needed: refreshments to cool down, celebrate and comfort. Violent emotions, pain, loss, triumph and clear victors, all very close together these days. A toast to everyone!

Ja!

one thing that I find refreshing is a Shandy. a combination of cold Beer and Cold Lemonade, both refreshing drinks in themselves but combine them and you have possibly the most refreshing drink ever.
I was hoping that the drink would fizz as I was pouring and this would be caught by the flash but this didn't happen.
I always like the effect of water being frozen by a burst of flash though.
My only other idea fir this weeks theme was a dollop od Ice cream in a glass of cream soda. My Mum used to give me this when I was little but I don't have freezer for the Ice Cream.
Here I am pouring the Beer with Lemonade already in the glass.
