Nothing like a cocktail to start the day. A wonderful mixture of smooth tasting fruit and a strong punch of hard alcohol.

By the time we started seeing any of Kiddies' Carnival in St. James the children were in great need of feul.
Almost every one of them had some sort of snack or beverage. I'm still on the fence as to what I think about the entire event. The timing seems off to me and a large portion of the children don't seem quite as excited to parade about as their parents are to have them do so. Just my two cents though.
We have arrived at Dawlish in Devon for our holiday.
The traffic on the M5 was pretty bad and Flat Eric was well behaved in the car.
We are now relaxing in our caravan and Flat Eric is enjoying some well earned refreshments.
The pack of hounds takes a rest while they wait for the horses and riders to assemble and partake of their refreshments.
"There were days when Baabaara felt like no more than a refreshments trolley"

A refreshment stand sits abandoned at one of the S-Bahn stations in West Berlin in 1981, advertising bottled beer for the hurried commuter. I'm not sure which station this was--probably Westkreuz or Charlottenburg. I was trying to get out as far as Spandau, but that line had been effectively shut down by then.
Before the Wall went up, Berlin had two high-speed electric rail networks. The U-Bahn ran a typical subway network, while the S-Bahn was high-speed interurban rail system that ran largely above ground. In the postwar division, control of the S-Bahn network went to the Soviets.
After the Wall went up in 1961, West Berliners boycotted the S-Bahn. Trains continued to run along much of the network in the West, though, so every 20 minutes or so, a 1920s-era train would rumble into the station.
Have some pink lemonade with ice cubes!
We had a very hot day yesterday... we broke the record high temperature for the day. It was 34 degrees C.
