Large pieces of chicken breast are beneath the salad. Perfectly seasoned with just enough dressing (not too much). Crispy potato skins too. Fenn's Quay, Cork City, Christmas Eve. 2217
In the heart of a sun-kissed afternoon, a couple made an enchanting decision to embark on a bike ride in tandem towards a fashion show hosted at a nearby design school. To fully savor the experience, they both opted for wearing elegant skirts instead of the conventional cycling shorts. This choice brought an unexpected yet delightful comfort, as the cool fabric permitted a pleasant breeze to grace their skin and keep them from overheating.
He chose a charming cyan skirt with tiny white lace trimming at the hem, held by a sleek black leather belt. Pairing it with a crisp white blouse adorned with shoulder ruffles, he exuded a harmonious androgynous look. His long, smoothly styled hair completed the ensemble, much to his wife's admiration. This fashion choice would have been surprising years ago, but today, thanks to education, culture, and the courage of non-binary individuals who proudly represented themselves, society had evolved beyond the binary constraints of personal identity.
As they pedaled along, the wind played with their skirts, and passersby offered warm smiles and encouraging words. Their journey was not just one of physical adventure, but also a testament to self-expression and societal progress. And as they looked at each other, they knew that their love story was anything but ordinary.
His wife beamed with pride as she prepared her outfit in sync. She selected a white skirt boasting captivating volants, complementing his blue ensemble, creating an exquisite harmony between them. As they set off on their journey towards the fashion show, the wind played with their skirts, revealing a world where love, acceptance, and self-expression reigned supreme.
"Do you feel the wind, my love?" he asked, his voice filled with genuine joy. She replied with a radiant smile, her eyes shining with admiration for his confidence. "Yes, I do. It's so refreshing!" They both laughed, their shared experience adding another beautiful layer to their already extraordinary journey. The wind continued to play with their skirts as they pedaled on, creating a harmonious melody in the air.
