Lucerne, Switzerland.
Paintings on the façade of buildings is not unique to Lucerne. In fact it is common to many European cities, especially in Germany and surrounding countries. Some are historic, requiring refreshing every couple of centuries and depict local history and information. Others are more decorative, even some are modern in design.
This is purely a modern mural with no historic significance.

It was warm enough to enjoy a beer on the back deck this Christmas. Something's just not right about that! But we still had fun.
Good 'ole Captain Hernandez is at it again. During our 11 mile hike to do an assessment of an isolated village in the Panjshir Valley, Afghanistan, Cpt. Hernandez dips his head into the river to stay cool.

Not only does the tea room use some of the best tea products (from Sloane), but they also sweeten the steeped and chilled version with some of their additive and pectin free jams/preserves. So much bright, fruit forward flavours. Delicious.
