A look at one of my absolute favorite waterfalls, Wahclella Falls in the gorgeously green Columbia River Gorge. After visting the very crowed Fairy Falls I headed here and had the whole waterfall to myself.
Happy Friday everyone!

📷 Photographer's notes:
☞ This is a close-up. The blossom appears larger in the image than it did in 'real' life.
☞ The statewide COVID-19 shelter-at-home order allows my dog and me to take short walks together. The camera comes with us.

Eve looks refreshed after her walk in the sun (spring-like weather these days here). She wears her new floral dess and says Hi!!
Blythe a Day. February 2026. Day 26.
A Blue Jay that has just taken a quick dip in the pond. It spent about 15 minutes drying and fluffing up its plumage.
Went for my annual Spring pilgrimage to the Smokies and it was all rain and no sun. No problem. To the streams!
The female Cowbird refreshes at the bird bath keeping an eye on the many juncos and sparrows as she contemplates whose nest she can deposit her eggs in
A rainy Monday to suit the mood of going back to the office. Luckily my break time was fairly dry and I had the good sense to pull my camera out of my bag.
I didn't end up shooting much else today and by doing so early in the day I avoided that usual last minute scramble that seems to be routine lately.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

29 June 2025 - A summer picture : in Wassen (Switzerland, Canton Uri), a railfan (“worldwide”-famous!) takes a bath in the Reuss while the historic locomotive Ae8/14 passes the lower Wattinger bridge on the Gotthard line.
The engine was doing one of its regular historic trains on the upper Gotthard line, from Erstfeld to Biasca and back. The Swiss railfan was taking one of its traditional baths to refresh during a heatwave.

the roof is one of my favorite places to be.
in the summer
lauren and i bring blankets
and sit up against the chimney
and look at the stars
if i'm in a bad mood
i go out there and breathe in the air.
but today i was just looking at the fog.
