Là ou d’autres se la joueraient bien campés dans leurs sneakers, notre Dimlite se secoue le casque stéréo sur son album Prismic Tops. Son nom à lui c’est Benji B !
Benjamin Benstead alias Jane B, heu, Benji B, est ce que l’urologue est à votre prostate : un spécialiste ! Connu outre-manche où il sévit pendant dix ans sur les ondes, d’abord sur Kiss fm puis BBC1 radio 1, il fait siennes les rares Grooves et les Mix Trips, en lançant ses soirées Deviation. Grâce à lui, l’uni-royaume a ouvert grandes ses feuilles de choux sur des noms comme Madlib, Theo Parrish, Flying Lotus où Dâm Funk. Dj sachant Djer toute la gamme électronique, il en pince pour toutes les cordes de l’Abstact Hip-Hop, de la House à l’Electronic futuristique, en passant par le Dubstep, le Boogie, Disco…, sur les 6 volumes que compte sa vie et son œuvre. Benji B à Contre-temps : c’est Initial BB !
JAMES PANTS DJ SET

James Pant : au nom du Père, du Fils et du Groove !
Fils de deux pasteurs d’un sombre bled américain du nom de Spokane, notre petit James sévi dans un tout autre genre de sermons. Tour à tour DJ dans un groupe de Rap Black nationaliste, puis poly-instrumentiste, il se fait admirer le cantique par des Flying Lotus, Zane lowe, Erol Alkan ou XL’s New. Même Tyler the Creator blasphème en parlant du “most fuking creative People to walk this Earth “. Notre défroqué rencontre Stones Throw à la sortie du presbytère et signe son premier disque “Welcome” en 2008. Depuis, l’abbé James prêche la bonne parole dans le monde entier, du Colorado à Frankfurt avec Seven Seals, a tribute à ses chèrs évangiles seventies et New Age. James Pant à Contre-Temps : Amen !

Dj Arachnophone
Un peu parti, un peu naze, il rase les murs d’une radio Jazz et tombe en guet-apens dans un orgue Hammond dont il n’est jamais ressorti. Pratiquant zélé de l’orgue à pédales, il tisse sa toile de Lyon où il est né, à Barcelone puis Cape Town South Africa. Assoiffé de Groove notre araignée ne tient qu’à un fil son propre Club, où les mouches viennent se poser pour ne plus décoller. Musicien, DJ depuis 1984, il est aussi producteur et fonde ses propres label avec Rotax, Blindtest ou Pleingaz. Bondissant de Building en soirée, il mixe des raretés Jazz, Swing, R&B des Fifties, de la Rare Soul et de la Deep Funk. Alors laissez tomber votre arachnophobie et chantez en silence… Les insectes sont nos amis et Fred Spider aussi !

The 377/1s are currently being put through a refresh programme, having been in service for nearly ten years they were starting to show signs of wear. The work is being carried out on a C6X exam at Selhurst Depot.
The main change is the seating moquette which has been changed to the standard green striped pattern; the previous grey one was specified by Connex who ordered the units.
The internal handrails have been recoated in yellow vice orange, as has the visibility strip on the luggage rack. The gangway carpets have been replaced with the black square carpet, as used on the 313s, replacing the Connex grey. The ribbed vinyl flooring at the doorways has been replaced with tough wearing black carpet.
The trim panel above the bodyside heaters has been changed, the new ones are painted for ease of cleaning, the previous trimmed versions were badly stained, mainly through the after effects of too much alcohol!
All other surfaces have been deep cleaned to restore them to a clean bright finish.
