Reflections along the river Rothay in Grasmere in 2020
The Rothay is a spate river of the Lake District in north-west England. Its name comes from Old Norse and translates literally as the red one. This has come to mean trout river. It rises close to Rough Crag above Dunmail Raise at a point about 1542 feet above sea level.
Early morning during the golden hour above the Reflection Canyon Trailhead illustrating the breath of the upcoming hike I would undertake and the notable Navajo Mountain in the far ground at the end of the 50 Mile ridgeline, which is the end of the right ridgeline in the slick rock area beyond the first grouping of slick rock. Individuals wishing to undertake the hard hike should check out the trail information on AllTrails.

Niblo Masuoleum at Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn
William Niblo was the owner of Niblo's Garden that opened in 1828. The garden would feature entertainments with dancers, music and fireworks. Niblo would often visit Green-Wood Cemetery during his lifetime and host parties on the lawn in front of the mausoleum. Green-Wood carries on that tradition and has an annual evening event at the location with entertainments such as stilt walkers, jugglers and acrobats.

The Woodlands Waterway offers a quiet urban corridor where nature and modern architecture meet. The waterway provides a strong central leading line that draws the eye toward the distance. Glass-clad office towers rise on both sides, their cool blue façades reflecting softly in the still surface below. The reflections are nearly symmetrical, slightly softened by gentle ripples that add movement without breaking the tranquility. On the left, a curved pedestrian promenade lined with trees guides the viewer into the scene.
