Reflection of the United States lightship Chesapeake (LV-116), part of the Maritime Museum in Baltimore, Maryland.

Sunday afternoon, Ken & I decided to give my little car a much needed wash. The reflections on it were so much fun to see once it was clean! :)

Reflections....the architecture of Jean Nouvel and Frank Gehry.

"Vision Machine"....this is the term Jean Nouvel used to describe his building on 11th Ave. in Chelsea. Here you see it reflected within the glass facade of Frank Gehry's neighboring IAC Building.

Another option for today's CY prompt "reflection"...and totally fits Where I stand today....After a rain and wind storm, the birdbath is filled with pine needles, pine cones, branches and leaves. Today I scrubbed the slimy sides and bottom and refilled with new water. #whereistandtoday#ourwisproject

Out walking this morning and saw this reflection in Minnehaha Creek from a bridge. Unusual ice crystals. Best viewed as large as you can make it. The physical area this covered was about 6 by 4 feet.

我們都常常能看到鏡子裏的自己,卻總是忘記審視另外一個自己。。。

Played with some fruit here.Pomagranate and seeds are on the mirrow and blue is the reflection of the sky. That was fun to do and I had a snack in front om me when I got hungry:) Visit @ www.emmelephotography.com

Another reflection off of a flat surface with a little surprise. If you look closely under the main blast there is another small explosion/shock wave starting.

When I put the explosive on the top support it goes into a little brass cup. Sometimes some spills off the cup and lands on the surface below. This time a small chunk of the Ag2C was detonated by the explosion of the larger charge.

If I could control this I could make some nice patterns. I've read papers were researchers do exactly this by setting off small charges simultaneously by using a beam split YAG laser. the heat/shock from the laser sets off two small explosions at the almost exactly the same time.

Cheers.

Just another reflection. This house is located on the grounds of "Kasteel Rosendael" in Rozendaal.

I like it even more than the Castle located there...

A moment's reflection

Returning to Venice late afternoon on the vaporetto

Reflection of statues around the Roman Baths. I was drawn to the reflections in the water. The clouds in the sky reflected in the water look like daubs of paint from an artist's palette. The watery silhouettes looked a bit eerie and conjured up times gone by and evoked the atmosphere of the Roman Baths much more than any normal photo of the rooftop could do.

Taken at West Beach along Lake Michigan. I was fascinated with the reflections in the water. This one is my son's reflection

An interesting reflection of seagulls in river Thames

Water is one of our most precious resources on Earth, and while walking through Las Vegas I was reminded of how much water and energy is consumed here on a daily basis. Here the lights from Paris are reflected in the Bellagio fountain waters, a constant reminder that it takes a lot of energy to run a city that never sleeps.

Reflections on a Newport Sandpiper Canal

This and the other "reflection" photos are from light reflecting off the top of a rigid plastic laundry hamper. As the sun tracked across the sky (technically it's because of the earth's rotation, the terms we use to say what happens, i.e., "tracking across the sky" or "changes position" are imprecise) the reflections changed moment to moment. These winter reflections will change as the seasons change and the sun is higher in the sky.
