Refining a great image. This is a different image than the one I posted before, this one is better balanced.

A Marine with Bravo Company, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, performs flutter kick exercises in a relay race while competing in the training force challenge in Djibouti, October 8, 2012. The challenge was part of a three-week training force package, which paired Marines of Bravo Company with Marines of Combat Logistics Battalion 24, to gain a shared understanding of each other's roles in the Marine Corps Air Ground Task Force and refine their basic infantry skills in Djibouti's rugged terrain. The package comprised basic infantry skills, desert survival techniques, endurance courses and a simulated war. The 24th MEU is deployed with the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group as a theater reserve and crisis response force in the U.S. Central Command and U.S. Navy's 5th Fleet area of responsibility.

Mortgage Relief Services

Mortgage Relief Service is the process of achieving change in the loan contract agreed to by the lender and the borrower. The mortgage relief services getting attention now are those designed to reduce the principle balance and or interest rate and payment on homeowners mortgages.

Homeowners that are interested in either reducing their principle balance and or interest rate and mortgage payment (whether they are delinquent on their mortgage or not) should request professional mortgage relief assistance.

Homeowners are unlikely to get such a change unless they ask, and homeowners should also make the investment required to make their case as clearly as possible and most importantly seek professional assistance to insure the most favorable outcome possible.

The stakes are very high: your house and your credit.

In most cases, the decision on mortgage relief is not made by the firm that owns the loan. It is made by a firm servicing the loan under contract to the owner. The owner could be a single lender, or it could be a group of investors who own pieces of a mortgage-backed security collateralized by a pool of loans. Every servicing company and every lender has different guidelines that they follow when it comes to signing off on mortgage relief. This is why working with a professional and experienced mortgage relief servicing company is essential.

Whoever owns the loan (whether it is a lender or a group of lenders), the servicing firm is contractually obligated to find the solution to payment problems that will minimize loss to the owner. If the lowest-cost solution is a mortgage relief agreement, that's great -- everyone involved prefers a mortgage relief agreement instead of a foreclosure. But if a foreclosure would generate lower costs for the owner, the decision will be to foreclose. The cost of foreclosure to the borrower does not enter the decision.

Yet the decision is far from cut and dried, and it can be materially affected by whether and how the borrower presents his case.

That is why homeowners faced with this prospect, whether they are delinquent or not, should request professional Mortgage Relief Assistance.

Quint Cobb and Quint Cobb & Associates Foreclosure Relief

FOR ALL SKIN TYPES

Generates rapid filling and smoothing action to visually reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth, eyes, and crow's feet while providing long term anti-aging benefits.

BENEFITS:

•Smoothes, tightens and fills in fine lines

•Provides long term anti-aging benefits with NouriCel-MD® and peptides

•Light reflectors rapidly soften the appearance of fine lines and conceal skin imperfections

•Relaxes facial expressions with a unique peptide

KEY INGREDIENTS:

•Human Fibroblast Conditioned Media – A unique product which capitalizes on the physiological advantage of many tissue factors in one solution that interact to maximally stimulate tissue repair.

•Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 – Has a unique peptide sequence that mimics the body's own mechanism to activate Transforming Growth Factor-beta (TGF-beta), known as a key element in the synthesis of collagen.

•Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate – Synthetic peptide capable of relaxing facial expression wrinkles by inhibiting muscle contraction. Imitates the activity of Waglerin 1, a protein found in the venom of the Temple Viper, which inhibits neuromuscular communication.

•Aminobutyric Acid – When administered systemically, it functions as neuromuscular inhibitor which reduces excitability of the nerves and produces muscle relaxation.

•Hyaluronic Filling Spheres ( Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate) – Dehydrated filling spheres penetrate into skin folds of varying depth and trap water in the superficial layers of the skin. The remarkable characteristic of hyaluronic acid that acts as a molecular sponge, enables the spheres to swell and exert pressure in the direction of the surface, resulting in a smoothing effect on the skin.

•Ubiquinone (Coenzyme Q10) – Effectively counteracts free radical damage and provides significant protection against UVA-induced detrimental effects of photoaging. Coenzyme Q10 works synergistically with vitamin E in preventing damage to lipid membranes and plasma lipids.

Livestock at Doug Jernigan Farms, a three-generation family farm and employer who, a few months earlier, refinanced a first of it’s kind, in the nation, swine-turkey waste to renewable energy system (RES), with the assistance of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development (RD) Renewable Energy for America Program (REAP) loan guarantee in Mt. Olive, NC, Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015.

Typical systems separate methane gas for energy, solids are disposed or repurposed and liquids are cleaned. This new system addition takes the watery manure effluent to a new and as Mr. Jernigan say’s “prolific profit” producing state through savings and sales. “There is an opportunity for the farm to make money doing a good thing for the environment.”

The system handles about 75,000 gallons of swine and turkey waste effluent each day. Piped to a series of tanks, and mechanical equipment that separates solids, and liquids. The current treatment facility biologically removes ammonia nitrogen with bacteria adapted to high-strength wastewater; removes phosphorus via alkali precipitation; and reduction emissions of odorant compounds, ammonia, pathogens, and heavy metals to the environment. The water is cleaned for reuse in the swine and turkey operations that wash more manure into the cycle of the system.

The new methane reactors (under the framework of what will be a C-span structure) use an endothermic gasifier that heats the waste solids to very high temperatures to the point that they release gases. The clean methane gas will fuel an engine that turns a 300KW electrical generator producing electricity; ethanol will help fuel farm equipment, and resulting potash solids can be used or sold for agricultural fertilizer. Excess amounts of electricity, that the farms cannot use, will be sold and transmitted to the local energy company, for use by residents and businesses; renewable energy credits (REC) are sold to a different energy company.

With a system that eliminates all ammonia and other odor creating compounds, Mr. Jernigan says, “What I’m doing is good for the environment; it’s good for the farm in the respect that you’re getting rid of waste that you’re creating in a high-tech way. There’s no footprint. It’s just gone.”

Doug and Aileen are lifelong farmers and they have three grown children that work in the farm operation. Their farm currently operates a 21,600 finishing farm operation, an eight house turkey operation, a 250 head cow /calf operation. The farm also consists of 2,400 acres of row crop production (cotton, corn, soybeans and wheat).

Doug Jernigan’s grandfather started farming here in 1941, and he continues the tradition with his business that began in 1974.

In talking about the greater potential of this technology and what others should consider, Jernigan says, “I see it as a win-win thing.”

*The treatment system (without the methane reactor) was documented to remove, on a mass basis, approximately 99% of total suspended solids, 98% of COD, 99% of TKN, 100% ammonia, 100% odor compounds, 92% phosphorus, 95% copper, and 97% zinc from the flushed manure. Fecal coliform reductions were measured to be 99.98%

Project - Modern Married to Historical

Objective: Refining hand-building skills (slab, pinch and coil) to replicate a historical form while incorporating modern aesthetics.

Discussion: Examining historical ceramic works teaches us about cultures past, forming techniques and finishing techniques.

Vocabulary: form, positive form, negative form, organic form, geometric form, static form, dynamic form, relief, balance, symmetrical balance, asymmetrical balance, texture, additive, subtractive

Assignment:

Find a ceramic work that is at least 80 years old, sculptural or functional. Draw or bring an image to class. Be able to briefly describe which culture made this object, why it was made and techniques used to make it. You may choose to 1) maintain the historical form and create a contemporary surface on the piece or 2) create a modern form and incorporate the historical surface on the work. Your final piece should be 12 inches in any one direction.

Considerations:

How was the original work created?

Are there distinguishing markings or forms that tie it to a particular time or culture?

You may include non-ceramic materials.

Definitions:

Form - is the shape, visual appearance, constitution or configuration of an object.

Positive Form- in art relates to the solid pieces of material that displace or inhabit space.

Negative Form - in contrast to positive form is concerned with the empty space.

Organic Form - are pieces that don’t have perfect or uniform measurements. They lack clearly defined edges, and typically, they’re asymmetrical. They sometimes are called curvilinear or free form shapes for this reason.

Geometric Form - are shapes that are precise edged and mathematically consistent curves. They are simple volumes, such as cubes, cylinders and pyramids.

Static Form - Pertaining to or characterized by a fixed or stationary condition.

Dynamic Form - Form that conveys a sense of movement or change.

Relief - 3-D form rising from a 2-D surface.

Balance - Quality of stability and equilibrium controlled by location and emphasis of major parts of a design.

Symmetrical Balance - 2-D or 3-D form which is a mirror image on either side of a central axis.

Asymmetrical Balance - Balance achieved by different visual elements which command similar visual emphasis.

Texture - The tactile aspect of surface, actual or implied.

Additive - Pieces made by putting pieces together.

Subtractive - Creation by carving away from a large piece of material

Argentine, a part of Kansas City, Kansas was once a silver refining town. A series of floods on the Kansas River, the last in 1951, spelled doom for the refining and a good portion of residential Argentine. About all that was left were a few concrete shells of buildings and two smokestacks. The Corps of Engineers built a number of dams on the tributaries of the river over eastern Kansas which have more or less controlled flooding, but the damage was done and the silver business of Argentine was no more.
