Just got home from thanksgiving, and felt like making this. Not much else to say here :/

So I finally have gotten my hands on the new wave of DC sets and I am up to my ears in new figs (which is a very wonderful thing).

But before I really got into it with some of the new figs in new photoshoots, I wanted to showcase my updated JLA, which is almost a year old.

But anyway, this shot features Eight purist figs, Four Christo Figs, One onlinesailin figure, and a single eclipseGRAFX minifig to top it all off.

I'm very proud of how they've all turned out, and with time, we should be seeing them in their own shoots independently, in the coming months :)

But yeah, I'm super excited for this year and all the projects and figs I've got planned, and I can only hope you'll stick around with me to see them come to life :)

"What is Rum Pan Stew?" That's the question on everyone's minds as a group of amazing colorful characters got together to spell out the cryptic message using the letters on their costumes.

Is it part of a publicity stunt, soon to be revealed? Or does it spell danger for Paprihaven??

Time will tell.

I've been waiting to make this one for a while, but my Brainiac set only came last night, so here we are. i have more leaguers, but i could only fit so many in here. i might take some solo shots of a few of theses guys, spesificly wonder woman and green arrow. i made ww a laso out of copper wire and you can't really see it, but you still kinda can. same goes for GA, i gave him the superboy arms and thy look awesome with him, so i might do that soon. anyways, here we go.

It took me forever to get these little bastards all standing still and flying, so you all better enjoy it! They kept falling over and wouldn't stand up right, it was a hassle. But I finally did it. First time I shot my camera vertical. I had to because they would all fit if I did it horizontal.

For comparison, this was my last JLA minifig assemblage, which as various nitpickers took me to task over, wasn't a correct JLA roster, past or present. Sheesh. It took me a while since then to finally get around to everyone in the front row, while I've tweaked a few of the minifigs in the back. Batman's not custom, of course.

Stored along with my Justice League International Postcards was this Super Powers birthday card, (c) 1987. It was produced by Portal. If I remember correctly, I found it on a spin rack in a Pier One Imports store, almost 20 years ago. The inside simply says "Have a Happy Birthday from All of Us!" On the back it reads "Even Superman cannot stand alone against the forces of evil. That is why he is part of the Super Powers team, a group of heroes formed to defend the people of earth from harm. Among his teammates are Batman, the Flash, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern."

Implied, I think, is "Hey, you can't expect us to know who all these people are, we're a freaking greeting card company for chrissakes. You should be impressed we came up with Green Lantern."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't "Super Powers" in this context refer to a line of DC Superhero action figures from that period? Those were my college days, and the memories are blurry.

I presume this week's episode of SUPERGIRL was his live action debut.

He has died more times than Jean Grey. Being destroyed on Supergirl means nothing to him.

An update version of my first Black Condor figure. He’s got better black legs before he was literally Jack Skellingtons toro and legs. Still not perfect I admit that would love a face with a black eye mask which I have no doubt exists I just don’t have it at my disposal.

Clifford the Big Red Dog: Twenty-five foot tall dog, owned by Emily Elizabeth, who likes to help his neighbors on Birdwell Island.

Red Tornado: Android superhero and member of the Justice League of America who can generate high speed winds.

Since childhood I have always been fascinated with superheroes and what these characters represent. They are more than just muscle bound men in spandex; they embody certain ideologies and classic archetypes. Over the last couple decades, DC writers have done a major revamp of Superman and envisioned him as a Christ-like character sent to Earth to save man from himself. My piece, The Last Super, depicts the classic Leonardo Da Vinci painting as never seen before. Jesus and his 12 apostles have been replaced with Superman and his Justice League counterparts, with each JL member having some connection with the apostle they have replaced. For example, the apostle Matthew was often depicted in Christian art accompanied by the winged man from Revelations, here he is replaced by Hawkman.
