JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska (Aug. 6, 2020) - A U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor aircraft assigned to the 3rd Wing approaches for landing at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Aug. 6, 2020, during Red Flag-Alaska 20-3. Red Flag-Alaska is a Pacific Air Forces-directed field training exercise where aircrews fly under simulated air combat conditions. This allows those involved to improve interoperability through the exchange of tactics, techniques and procedures. RF-A 20-3 was adapted to execute the training needed to maintain mission readiness and lethality while mitigating the potential spread of COVID-19.
