50mph+ wind on Hastings beach, I had just bought the camera; an Ensign Ranger Special 6x9 for £15 in a junk shop, walked into the first pharmacy I saw and they had HP5 film in 120 size, loaded it and took some photos. Who said film is dead?
A richly patterned red-and-black flag waves over the crowd at the 2025 May Day demonstration in Helsinki, Finland. The banner — likely carried by anarchist and antifascist protesters — blends symbolic rebellion with textile beauty. In the background, the well-known Kahvisiskot market stall adds a distinctly Finnish backdrop to this radical visual.
Helsingin vappumarssilla 2025 nähtiin puna-mustia tekstiililippuja, joiden koristeelliset kuviot toivat visuaalista painoa anarkistien ja antifasistien sanomalle. Lipun takana näkyvä Kahvisiskot-teltta ankkuroi kohtauksen kotimaisiin perinteisiin.
High winds swept across the beach from the Southeast, making the flags stand on end and whipping palm trees and hair all about. The clouds were beautiful and surprisingly slow moving. Lots of folks were out with cameras, ranging from cell phones to point and shoots to full DSLRs.
With over 3200 images from the last two days I'll be editing and uploading images for a long time ... but for now here are a few more.

A sad day today as the EA-6B Prowler is retired by the US military. The US Navy gave up its examples a long time ago, but the US Marine Corps's VMAQ-2 has retained its own to this point.
This VAQ-134 "Garudas" example is pictured departing Nellis AFB during Red Flag 07-2.
in the first lap of the Julius Bär Swiss E-Prix held in Berne. Daniel Abt in his Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler car 66 got through the first chicane, where shortly after the midfield produced a mass collision that caused the race to be stopped for quite a long period before it could be restarted. ABT finished P6.

First ones out, last ones in. KC-135R tanker arriving back at Nellis just short of sun set.
Red Flag RF19-1
Nellis AFB, NV
After a storm front moved through Gulf Shores, the red flags were still displayed but that did not stop this young man from breaking out the skim board and getting a bit of practice in. I sat on the balcony and watched him for 15-20 minutes and he never slowed down...sometimes you just have to make the best of a not-so-ideal situation!!
