Located Lake Bolac Memorial Hall.
Lake Bolac Memorial Hall celebrates the centenary of the Opening of the Lake Bolac Hall in 1896.
The building was moved from the original site between the blacksmith shop and the hotel in 1922 to be part of a Memorial Hall honouring World War I soldiers. It remains as the Supper Room and Stage. Electric power was connected in 1933. The World War II Memorial Foyer was added in 1959, the new kitchen in 1992 and the Southern Extension in 1994.
Unveiled at the "Back to Lake Bolac" 23–24 March 1996 by George Hucker of Lake Bolac.

One of the most recognizable and noticeable buildings on the Dôshisha campus, the Clarke Memorial Hall (クラーク館) regularly attracts small armies of sketchers and painters.
An Important Cultural Property, it was opened in 1894, and its steeple has become a key symbol of the university.

The 130-foot subway was built to connect the old and new campuses. The students now don't have to cheat death while crossing the road between the 2. I guess they realised cheating deadlines was difficult enough!

My university - a place too redbrick to be called an alma mater - was a tiny campus on top of a hill. There were many trees and many, many rabbits, one of which was white. It was an escaped domestic character, not an albino. Anyway, it was white, but it didn't know it was white, so if people were around, it crouched against a tree like all the others, thinking it was brown.
If only it could have seen Stuff White People Like, it would have realised its true nature. I bet it liked Asian girls with bangs.

In 1897, a retired military man, Major Pawley, acquired the site. He built eight redbrick townhouses at great cost, and the highest of architectural standards. These are the buildings that make up the two Taj hotels today, Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences, and St. James’ Court A Taj Hotel.
London’s royal, cultural, political and social elite favored the location within walking distance of the Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, Downing Street, St James Palace, Westminster Abbey and Westminster Cathedral.
In 1982, the Indian Hotels Company Ltd. (Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces) acquired St. James' Court which was operated as the Taj Crowne Plaza London – St James for many years. The TataGroup converted and refurbished the old Crowne Plaza at 54 Buckingham Gate into the 342-room St. James Court, A Taj Hotel in 2014.
Taj Hotels Resorts andf Palaces is operated by Indian Hotels Company, which is owned by the TATA Group. The TATA Group also owns Jaguar, Land Rover and Tetley Tea. Effective 2021 Mehrnavaz Avari is the UK area director and general manager of the Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences and St James Court hotel in London. Avari was previously deputy general manager of IHCL's Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai. She graduated with a Masters of Management at Cornell University in New York and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She succeeds Digvijay Singh is general manager.
