This mushroom, called "Amanita muscaria", is easily found in the area of "Vila Nova de Paiva", Viseu. Despite of its beauty, is considered toxic, unlike other mushrooms that can be found in the region, widely used in traditional cooking.

Seen at the V&A museum, Kensington, London. In case you are wondering those are not stairs against the wall but some kind of art installation.

A bystander in Oamaru where about fifty actors in Victorian costume had gathered and were having a group photo last Friday. This lady was just watching I guess dressed for a slightly later era. Some streets of Oamaru are still Victorian and used for movies at times. It is 70 miles/115 km north of our city. With a population of 13,850, Oamaru is the 28th largest urban area in New Zealand, and the third largest in Otago behind Dunedin and Queenstown.

Autumn is mushroom season and I've already decided to go on a little excursion into the forest in the next few days so that I can maybe catch one or two of them.

But sometimes you don't have to go that far. Sometimes the forest comes to my home.

I photographed this picturesque pair of fly agarics in my garden, for example. However, as I was shocked to discover, that was already in 2019 (heavens, how time flies). There was always something else that I really wanted to show.

But I think they don't deserve to disappear into obscurity and that's why they get their stage today.

Herbstzeit ist Pilzzeit und ich habe mir auch schon vorgenommen in den nächsten Tagen eine kleine Exkursion in den Wald zu machen, um vielleicht den ein oder anderen Vertreter einfangen zu können.

Doch manchmal muss man garnicht so weit gehen. Manchmal kommt auch der Wald zu mir nach Hause.

Dieses malerisch anzuschauende Fliegenpilz Pärchen habe ich in zum Beispiel meinem Garten fotografiert. Das war allerdings, wie ich gerade mir Erschrecken feststellen musste, schon 2019 (Himmel wie die Zeit vergeht). Immer gab es etwas anderes, was ich ungebingt zeigen wollte.

Doch ich finde sie verdienen es nicht in der Versenkung zu verschwinden und bekommen deshalb heute ihre Bühne.

Wanneer ik oud ben ga ik paarse jurken kopen

en zal daar ook een rode hoed bij doen

Dat staat me niet, maar ik zie mezelf al lopen

en ik verspil mijn staatspensioen

Aan drank en handschoenen met knopen

Enkele leden van deze club kwam ik in de Hoogstraat tegen en wilden graag poseren. Nee, ze hoefden geen bestand per email te ontvangen.

Ik moet wel even kwijt dat ik paars een verschrikkelijk lelijke kleur vindt.
