This Red-Tailed Hawk, called Sibley, was found wounded with a swollen eye in downtown Toronto after being attacked by a swarm of peregrine falcons. As a result of the attack, she was left blind in the right eye and WILD Ontario is now looking after her since she cannot survive in the wild. Red-Tailed Hawks are common throughout southern Ontario and can often be seen sitting on farm fences and telephone poles searching for small mammals on which they feed.

I still think my friend who was driving - and that much closer to this hawk - might have gotten a better shot with her phone.
