This festive season brought some festive luck, because I found a Disney Adventurers Hercules!!!!!!!!!

Let me tell you that since I've been collecting dolls, Hercules is one character that I've always wished to get (I even had a dream of buying him, once! :P :P) So, my mouth fell open when I saw him placed on a shelf in the shop, and I grabbed him without a thought! I also found a Harry Styles doll in the same shop.

Other than that, I found 2 vintage dolls, one of which is a Barbie, whose body is sadly broken, and the other I bought because I thought it was the Twiggy Barbie (which it isn't). I also found an unidentified Disney doll, and the remaining 2 dolls were bought for body swaps!

I also got a mini Marvel Red Skull articulated figure and a teddy bear!

A great day of finds!

This MOC was designed loosely based on the fundraiser scene from Captain America: The First Avenger. Red Skull and his coupe, instead of Hitler, came into the scene of my imagination, just listen to the crowd cheer!

The coupe was based on the sportscar from the movie, except that it was a 2-seater instead of a 3-seater as in the movie. The shield logo is one of my favourite bits of the model.

My brother is on the right dressed as Frankenstein's monster.

I'm on the left and as I was scanning this photo I realized that I had no idea who I was supposed to be. Turns out that The Red Skull was, depending on which era in the Marvel Comics Universe he appears, either a nazi personally trained by Hitler or a communist spy and imposter. One version of the character was responsible for the deaths of Peter Parker's parents and thus intitiated the creation of Spider Man.

This photo was likely taken by my grandmother (which would make that her finger visible on the left) since we're in her dining room in front of her cuckoo clock. If her or my grandfather, a WWII veteran, had known anything about the nature of The Red Skull I imagine they might have berated my mother and ordered me out of the costume immediately.

For myself, all I can imagine is that I had seen the costume in a store and thought, "ooh, that looks scary." Until today I had no idea what a disturbing character I had chosen to emulate.
