Via Massimo d'Azeglio Porta Garibaldi Milano

Captain America's from Toybiz Face-off Series 1, and Red Skull is from Marvel Legends Series 5. This set up was inspired by Sideshow's versus statue. Well, once again it doesn't remotely resemble the Sideshow masterpiece, but action figures does have their limits. Glad I didn't have to pay a hefty price for Red, got him through a trade on fwoosh. Thanks Kevin!

And the man behind the Red Skull is... Old man Smithers!? Jinkies!

IZ MAH BIRDAH

So for those who don't know, April 4th is not only my birthday, but its also Hugo Weaving's, Eric Andre's, Heath Ledger's, and Robert Downy Jr's. That's pretty fuckin cool.

A custom Red Skull that I hope is reminiscent of the classic version. It's not 100% comic accurate, but I made it mostly from the body of a Hydra soldier, because that's what I had available. I do like it better than any of the official Red Skull figures.

The head came from Iron Skull and the cigarette holder is made from a toothpick and wire.

Does anyone know where that gun came from? It was in with my spare parts but I have no idea at this point.

For the US Army!

Now I know this comes way out of left field from my typical DC pieces, but I just got back from seeing the Winter Soldier (after first watching Cap 1 the night before) and felt inspired to do a little fanboy-ing.

I may be all for DC, but Marvel always knows it's way into my heart. (If you haven't seen cap 2, I don't even know why you're waiting. It's so good!)

Red Skull takes a look at the new Iron Skull armor.

Can't say I'm a huge fan of that figure, but it contributed a Red Skull head to that custom. And it was fun to use in this shot.

Evil has a night out.

Meanwhile, behind the bar Tom and Linh are having a hushed discussion...

"... we must really try to attract a better class of customer, Tom"

"Now, now, Linh - don't be too judgemental; we can't start barring folk on account of their colours, creed or thrashing tentacles."

"I know Tom... but..."

"Linh, no."

"... but... but...Jar Jar Binks for heavens sake! I mean, really? Jar Jar ****ing Binks? Surely we've got to draw the line somewhere, Tom?"

"I know Linh, but Toyville is an open and tolerant society; everyone's welcome..."

Linh sighs sadly. It's political correctness gone mad!

"... pssst...but don't worry, Linh, I slipped some rat poison into his beer while no one was looking!"

"Oh, you too, Tom?"

Victor Von Doom, not only a vicious super villain, but also a brilliant scientist! He's developed and used a time platform with so much success that the Red Skull took an interest.

😈 MCU Villains 😈 (Chronological Order)

One of the common myths you always hear about the Marvel Cinematic Universe is that the villains are "weak". But let's take a good hard look at that criticism -- are they really? On the contrary, I think there have been some great villains and stories.

I've included the MCU TV universe -- not only because they are technically part of the MCU -- but also because there have been some great villains there as well: Kilgrave, Grant Ward, AIDA, Wilson Fisk, Madame Gao, Cottonmouth (and Nobu -- though I haven't got around to that one yet).

In the latest film Spider-Man Homecoming, I thought Vulture was an exceptionally compelling villain. There is a very credible backstory which ties in nicely with the MCU. Keaton does an amazing job humanizing the character and giving him depth, and most importantly, the Vulture character hit all the right notes. And I can't wait for Thor: Ragnorak, I have a feeling that Cate Blanchett is going to knock the cover off of the ball and bring us one of our greatest MCU villains to date.

So let's celebrate them -- here's to the MCU Villains -- because bad guys (and gals) have feelings too! 😈😈😈

Featuring Bucky Grayson the Boy Wonder, Alfred Fury, and the White Skull!

Credit to andhe :-) and Hobbestimus for the Bucky/Robin and Alfred Fury ideas. :P

I really like the way the metallic on the torso stands out when the rest of the torso is very dark.

Although I've started the year with very little free time on my hands, I still had a bit of fun with these. It's the first time I try to build bikes, so I've got some inspiration from Karwik's ones.

Check my photostream for close-ups on the bikes.

If there has been one character I've discovered and wanted to make for so long, it's definitely this guy. This is based off his appearance in that Avengers Assemble Cartoon from I don't remember when, also I guess it's his modern appearance, but the Avengers Assemble version uas more sipver design which I wanted to add so much. I know he necessarily has that huge shoulderpad, but I wanted to make him look really epic, I love the way I edited his hair, and that skin color looks awesome as well. I'm also planning on making other characters from that show like Attuma, since there were Lego sets based off parts of the show.

I honest need to know more about Eel of @Marvel but this figure definitely looks on point! Great job, Hasbro!

Inspired mostly by Concore and his MCU and Videogame appearance, I think that when Lego makes Arnim Zola they shouldn't have to worry about making a new piece, they can just make him brick built like this. I built him with whatever beige and beige green pieces I had, and I painted his face and other parts of him. I absolutely love how he turned out in the end.
