Always attentive at every sound.....only the jays made him look up....the squirrels were no where to be seen :)
These playful cubs come out just after sunset in early summer to romp, jump, chase, and cavort. This little one took a moment's rest to have a look at me before leaping back up to go after his siblings.
I checked on a fox den I've been watching tonight. No kits but I watched as dad came back from a hunting trip with a duck. He ducked into the thicket where the den is and came back out without the duck and on to another hunt.
I was on the trail he wanted to use, so he walked right by me, no more that 3 feet from me. I froze to let him pass.
