The rising sun in flamboyant red welcomes me to the world...

Vagrant green field adorned in morning dew gently kisses my feet.

And when I return home, the crimson sun bids me goodbye.

Red and Green, two colors so intimate in our life..

..And that's why we are so passionate about our flag.

A red circle on the forehead, the place referring to the Third Eye, women and wives of King Darius of Persia, Alexander the Great found the harem in the city of Babylon, if we look at the red circle, we see a mocking face, messages of Destiny that would soon come true. Detail of the Painting by the artist painter Ernest Descals.

Kitty has been a wonderful lady. We are going different directions, though. We did get a great session in the studio first.

I shot an experimental texture roll the night before. This was the red LED rope on black felt w/ me using drag shutter for the effect. I just pulled the camera up and away from the rope. She had an awesome pink wig.

At first I tried getting a clean shot with out any view in the mirror and it turned out harder than I anticipated. So I went for a partial view, which turned out to be more interesting!

Another shot for one of the groups weekly theme "Circles".

1. Un arbol

2. Una ventana bonita

3. Una silla vacía

4. El color morado

5. Una sombrilla (o paraguas) azul

6. Rayas

7. Una vista al ras del suelo

8. Un gato

9. Una atracción de feria (como un carrousel)

______________

Walking through the old town of my city I suddenly noticed these tasty watermelons. I was looking for "circular things" for the treasure hunt . And then I realized an obvious truth : watermelons are spherical in shape but if you cut them in half ... it appears the form of a circle! Perfect: circle found !

This photo is for the competition "La búsqueda del tesoro" (The treasure hunt), a competition organized every summer by the photographer Jackie Rueda. You have to find 12 treasures to complete the competition.

These are the treasures to find:

1. A tree

2. A nice window

3. An empty chair

4. The color purple

5. A blue umbrella

6 . Stripes

7. A view at ground level

8. A cat

9. A fairground (as a carrousel)

10. Someone reading

11. Clouds

12. Circles

The movie based on Don Martin's novel is a low budget film noir called "Shed No Tears" (1948). It was directed by Jean Yarbrough and it stars Wallace Ford and June Vincent, who play Sam and Edna Grover. Sam fakes his own death in a fire so he and Edna, who has expensive tastes, can collect on his $50,000 life insurance. At least that's the plan, but things don't go quite as planned. The entire movie is on Youtube:

Red Circle is the name used to refer to American publisher Martin Goodman's group of book and pulp magazine publishing corporations. Some of this group of corporations continued into Goodman's comic-book publishing arm, Timely Comics, which would evolve by the 1960s into Marvel Comics. As the market for pulp magazines waned, Goodman, in addition to comic books, transitioned to conventional magazines — published through a concern dubbed Magazine Management Company at least as far back as 1953 — and in 1949 founded Lion Books, a paperback line. Goodman used the name Red Circle Books for the first seven titles plus an additional two later. Most were novels, but there was a smattering of mostly sports-oriented nonfiction. [Source: Wikipeda]

I had the most amazing time shooting with this woman. Funny and good stories. This is from our warm up roll. I shott the rest of whatever is in my camera when I start a session. Gives me a chance to get used to them and vice versa. I shot her twice before mixing it with the LED rope on the floor beside me.
