I had never realized that the Red-bellied Woodpecker actually had some reddish tint on their bellies...until I saw this girl from the front :)....haven't seen her or her mate in a while...hope they come back...rainy here today...work tomorrow and then my weekend begins on Sunday. Poppy and pearls.....

I love the way pink and red get along so well....so I had to try it out on a cake. As my little boy said upon seeing the cake " I like it, I like it, I like it".....yes, I like it too :)

A 6 inch red velvet cake layered and iced with Swiss butter cream.

I am eating lots more fruit, far less chocolate and have stopped diet drinks, and I have lost 6lb in 10days, and feeling quite pleased with myself :)

Brighton - Bank Holiday Mod Weekender - 2015

This color was really hard to photograph! All the little fibers reflect light and in all different directions. I still did not capture it SOOC like I wanted and I had to tweak it in PS to get the image closer to what it looks like with the naked eye. It such an interesting plant with many spots that would make a great texture or pattern closeup.
