recycled teenager?
Or bald middle aged man who found getting in and out of the bin more of a challenge than expected...?
Thanks Matt, had a go with sharpener pro, can you tell?
This is the cutest little clock!
It's upcycled from a 1950's Scotch Tape™ tin and a variety of steel, brass, and aluminum pieces salvaged from an industrial machine shop.
Outside our local Jack Will store, there is a Christmas Tree made out of recycled bottles. It’s rather cool
I took a break from my work to make this desk-set. Made from recycled cans. Used vintage sheet music and a vintage hankie to cover the cans. Then used some vintage trim and buttons for embellishing. Used a vintage greeting card for the flower, trimmed with a little touch of vintage German glass glitter. So much fun--but now it's back to organizing my craft room.
The Sea Islands are ever changing - storm, tide and years erode some beaches while building up others. Here an old live oak has been washed out and now stands sentinel above a tide pool at the mouth of the creek. These "boneyard beaches" or "ghost forests" line many of the islands and are a great place to walk and see wildlife.

I was visiting DoES Liverpool yesterday, and got to see in the flesh these awesome recycled flowers made by Jackie Pease. If you look at her Instagram you'll see them lit up, but when I visited they looked wonderful just as they are in the defused sunlight.
I regret not standing slightly further back for this one to get slightly wider context, but I'm really pleased with how the natural lighting worked on this one.
This card was inspired by sneak peek #2 heroarts.com/blogs/club/2009/11/13/hero-arts-2010-catalog.... I love the tranquil, natural look of the peek and the gorgeous colours.
I must have been in recycling mode for this card! A while ago a friend gave me books of upholstery fabric samples so I used a couple of these fabrics on this card. The Happy Wishes image is stamped on a linen type fabric using distress inks and the bottom panel is a strip of faux suede. All of the buttons are recycled off old clothes and the twine is recycled too. I used the emboss resist technique on the top panel using white ep and shabby shutters and broken china distress ink. Finished off the card with some machine stitching.

Gorge Waterway. The body of water known simply as “The Gorge” to Victoria locals is a narrow inlet that connects Victoria Harbour to Portage Inlet. This shot was taken from Jutland (the Selkirk waterfront redevelpment of the old Victoria Sawmill site) Road with the Budget Steel Yard on the left and the Bay Street Bridge on the right. A working harbour the area may be, however, as are the old railway yards being developed, so should this area sooner than later IMO.

Slightly Dangerous, but very beautiful Wall Art. These Angel Wings are not for wearing. The site has pictorial tutorial for the construction of these. Recycle those cans without driving to a junkyard.

Here was a wall of cans "recycled"
A shot of a little courtyard garden in Holt. Pleased to see the old mangle is still in use if only for decoration.

I've created a tutorial for you to create your own felt flower! Tutorial can be found at: whipup.net/2008/11/07/felt-flower-tutorial/
Today we recycled our old mountain bikes at a place called Recycle. This is a charity which recycles old bikes and send them out to Africa. My old Raleigh will be on it's way on Friday.
There were two of these recycling trucks operating in Eurobodalla before the new contract commenced in October last year. Both of the Hinos were initially operated by Staples Waste, who was bought out by WSN Environmental Solutions, then SITA acquired WSN. You’ve got a Compaction Systems with the larger body capacity, also featuring the neat and little recycle hopper. Otherwise not the most exciting truck in terms of paintwork, quite a plain appearance really.

OK...so, I cheated a bit. I am still working on a big Alabama Chanin style handstitching project (shawl) that is taking FOREVER! I really like it so far, and I think it will be very pretty when complete, but I need small diversions. So, I really wanted to try the tank dress from the Alabama Studio Style book. But, I didn't want the project to take forever, so I cheated a bit by machine stitching. This dress is made completely from thrifted t-shirts. I cut apart the t-shirts and used the machine to stitch together the pieces. I then used the sewing machine to topstitch each seam with a decorative machine stitch. I also used the sewing machine to construct the dress. The reverse applique circles are stitched by hand as well as the bias strips around the arm holes and neckline. I had to revise the pattern a little bit (shortened the waist length about 2 inches). Love the dress...it was alot of fun to make!
This microscale spaceship is a recycling vessel that reclaims material and brings it back for processing. I made a little stand to hold it and the minifig.
